I think he can get early playing time at Vyper I also wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Drayk Bowen gets some snaps at Vyper

And he can cleanup his body some more...once Balis get's his hands on Brenan look out. I always thought he would be a 3 technique, but seems like he will eventually end up at SDE, which is fine by me!

I wouldn't be surprised if Bowen gets into the rotation at Will and/or Mike in 2023. At the very least Bowen is going to be a core special teams guy in 2023.

the problem is he needs to add mass/strength to play inside and he's unlikely fast/twitchy enough to play Vyper.

Will look good in the 3 - 3 - 5

No italics needed is my prediction
How the roster is currently configured they don't have the big bodies on the line to play a 3-3-5....it would have to be a gradual transition that takes a few recruiting cycles.

Lol...sadly that is true.

Elston was a good identifier and developer of talent but he may of gotten a bit carried away with the undersized guys in recent cycles. One or two is fine but suddenly we have almost a whole DL of project and/or undersized overachiever guys.

Not good when Rubio and Mills are the exception not the norm.

1. First off the bus
2. Magnet for the ball
3. Already slimming down prior to going into the lab with Balis
4. Committed early and never wavered, despite being surrounded by Buckeyes

We've got the makings of a good one here, folks.

Fong relayed that the DL coach said he’s “intense at practice.”

Said he looked very agile twice. But he doesn’t seem out there so far in the afternoon session - sick not injury.

He really cut a lot of weight. Looks like a DE now instead of Rylie Mills.

2019 was really the last year this was a problem, when you had a DL group of Jacob Lacey (6'1 280), Howard Cross (6'1 275), but they also had Hunter Spears (6'4 285), who was a bigger body. However, he was the one that didn't translate.

In 2020, you had Mills (6'5 290) and Kahuna (6'3 320). Both big guys. I really think we missed Aidan this year based on what were hearing about his development going into Spring.

In 2021, you had Rubio (6'5 300) and Onye (6'4 285). Rubio began to flash this year.

In 2022, you had Hinish (6'2 285) and Ford (6'4 275).

ND's actually gotten a good bit of size the past 3 cycles, but it's a combination of having some size, but it not translating or being hurt (Spears and Kahuna). Onye is more so a project, but appears to have made some strides as a sophomore.

The only undersized interior guy they took the past 3 cycles was Hinish and...well, he's a Hinish.
