They are gonna beat A&M to the NIL issues before even stepping foot in the locker room

Fawcett is a grifter with a tiny bit of graphics talent that went to his head. Probably gets comped like an old school street agent.

It’s also funny that anyone is pretending that “Lanning” did anything except promise outrageous amounts of money that they maybe can’t follow through on.
+1 on both of these.

What should be looked at in any of these Oregon flips is how many of the players get all the money they were told they would get after 3-4 years. Almost proud of our two flippers to apparently be waiting for the check to hit the bank account and not being gullible enough to outright trust the Ducks' grifters. Almost wondering if our staff told them to make sure to wait until the checks clear in advance.

Dickey was committed before most, back to the spring or summer and has risen up in the rankings since quite a bit. Wonder if he is saying hey where is my money too

Peyton Bowen ain't walking through that door. It's over. The delay is just to move some cash and draw up the contract.

Probably why they aren’t liquid. They likely made a pie in the sky promise to him and then never ironed out the details. It’s not as simple as just “cutting a check” for millions of dollars. They literally are going to want a contract.

Dad and him want to get paid and be “rich” (spoiler alert — $2mil doesn’t get you anywhere in life if that’s all you make and never do anything after)… had an impulsive change of heart and now they have to hit the breaks while Oregon figures out what they can actually pay him. I doubt it’s even seven figures for a safety.
Oregon's liquidity has a name: Phil Knight. I agree that they probably threw out a huge number to several kids. The question becomes if Phil sees this as a wise investment of his funds. No one wants to pull an A&M and pay big money to watch kids bolt the next year.

Some of the kids are leaving because they didn’t get paid. Who’s shadier, the collective or the player?

Answer is both in many cases.

Nike made about 47 billion this year.

No, but he can dip into the company well. I don't believe his BoT will get in his way too much.
Especially since the Oregon collective is basically run by by Nike people hand picked by him for the collective.

If they've already broken promises to the flippers these kids are dumb to think it won't be more of the same in the future.

Our beat reporters should be taking more heat than the Bowens. The board had settled at an appropriate level of cynicism last week when Freeman's in-home was cancelled. So Bowen's surprise announcement for OU today should have been bit of unexpected schadenfreude at OU's expense, akin to Moore's flip to UCLA. But our recruitniks got everyone invested again without any basis in reality.

It's either the result of incompetence or malice. Regardless, today would have been far more enjoyable without that worthless industry.

Oregon fans saying their own staff didn't expect him to commit.
Man f these guys.

We have Freeman outrecruiting the whole damn city of Denton that wanted him at OU and the 5-star safety just falls into Oregon’s laps.

I love calling out the beat but I disagree. If he was lying to ND and committed to Oklahoma that makes perfect sense and is a misread from the beat and what we all said would happen. The reality is he lied to literally every single person involved, except maybe his father.

Kind of hard to have a source when Peyton is lying to family, friends, other commits on multiple sides and coaches on multiple sides. Who are you supposed to source at that point? Apparently not even the Oregon staff coulda told you with certainty.

Even still, Loy warned of Oregon last week and last night.

20 billion profit in 2021*. Who would ND call with that bankroll?

*edit: 6 billion profit in 2021 = actual numbers

I get the 'flip' resistance/pissed-off/upset.... but, what a 2023 Class!!! And, I believe there may be more to come through the portal. I'm very happy with what the Irish staff have put together.

Please just end this saga. I can’t deal with this going on like Robinson from Georgia… actually that one was pretty entertaining
