I will take my crow brother! Thanks for calling me out.

Excited as hell we got him though!
No crow to eat! Just a great opportunity to use a solid gif. No one had any idea of Love at that point, including myself.

Now if my boy DuLac we’re here…I’d be shoving it down his throat.

Wrong, he needs to eat crow with how much negative he brings with his posting. It's unfair to shit all over the board then show up to rejoice when things go well.

For you irishFF:

Oh and I love that we got an offensive weapon of this caliber. I hope he outworks everyone because his athleticism is up there with the best.

Give me all of the Prosise/Kamara comparisons.

I’m gonna stick up for @irishff1014 here. He already addressed this after he went to the BC game (I think). Total 180 on his posting and has been awesome.

Ok, fair enough. I haven't been that plugged into the board, I'm more intermittent in my posting lately. I was recalling some old posts so mea culpa IrishFF. Please rejoice with the rest of us

Seeing how Rees has really copied a lot of NFL systems, I fully expect him to be utilized like Deebo was under Mike McDaniel and will be ND's best shot at a first rounder from this class. Maybe a little more run heavy than Deebo was, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see him outside or in the slot half the time.

Good interview by Love. He's really calm natured at such a young age.

One of those reporters though... his questions and phrasing of them, somewhat implying that NDs decommitments are going to keep them out of the playoffs, more specifically how it creates a ceiling at ND.

Give it a listen. What do you think?

Love strikes me as a very intelligent young man with major athleticism. His only ceiling is the one he creates.

Weird how TCU is in the playoffs without a couple flakey five stars....

To play devil's advocate though, we have made the playoffs twice before and wasn't the consensus that we need more difference makers to win the whole thing?
Winning the whole thing versus being in consideration for a top 4 (or soon to be top 12) playoff spot seems like different arguments. To win the whole thing, I think the recipe is pretty clear -- you either need a team LOADED with veteran five-stars and NFL talent and/or you need a top tier NFL quarterback with strong supporting cast. This also seems to be changing somewhat in the portal + NIL era where teams are struggling to consolidate talent as they had in the past.

In general, if the question was "does this class get ND close to winning it all?" I would say that the answer is no. This class treads water in that top 10 category. But the question was about ND's "ceiling" being below a playoff contender. And that's an absolutely absurd premise.

Also, FWIW, the past two ND playoff teams would be serious contenders in this year's crop of playoff teams. Softest field in recent memory.

Yes, although I still think that the 2018 team was very good but just ran into a buzz saw (Clemson). The Love injury certainly hurt as well.

On Offense, 10/11 starters were either drafted or have played in the NFL. On Defense, 9/11 starters were either drafted or have played in the NFL.

By my count, 29 players from that team have either been drafted or have played in the NFL. There will be even more when factoring in Patterson, the Ademilola twins, Bracy, Dillan Gibbons, Luke Jones, etc.

I agree with 95% of this. I would say that this class brings us closer...if Minchey or Carr hit
