MF showing up at Casa Bowen
At least we know if it's Oregon, it is 100% NIL. Girlfriend, family, etc. had nothing to do with it.Fong went on Oklahoma and Oregon board to say it'll be 1 of them 2 for PB. Did not say anything on NDs page.
I would assume this is already part of ND's spiel. They just need the verified data to back it up. It's still early, but are there any high profile cases of recruits not getting what was promised that have documentation and have called out, by name, the booster/school involved? At some point the music stops and recruits have to wise up, right? As the number of players who chased up front cash and got burned grows, there will be exposes and articles written about it that we can point to as cautionary tales. "Everyone who plays for ND and shows out not only gets an Ivy-class education and elite development, but they all get paid top-tier NIL which is legal and verifiable. You don't want to end up like 5-star John Doe from the Class of 2020, do you? He bought into the lies about P4P, and he's now at his 3rd school in 4 years."
When I said early yesterday that I was pretty confident that he wasn’t 100% “done deal” to Oklahoma it was because of an Oregon person who said there had been “active negotiation” with them recently.Fong went on Oklahoma and Oregon board to say it'll be 1 of them 2 for PB. Did not say anything on NDs page.

It’s playing hell on my bookkeeping. At one time my ledger read entertainment expense. Moved to charitable donation to which I damn sure didn’t claim on taxes. I finally gave up and just started putting cash donation under the made up names for players based on fictional characters like “The Dude” and “Bobby Boucher. “College football is the most worthy of charities in the south.
Well for me things that are not clear at all are the following:I know this is what was reported, but I just can't buy it. $4.2 million+ over 3 years. This is more than what a fourth round rookie makes.
If I had to bet he's just using Oregon to get the most money from OU. So, I guess if that means it all comes down to money then maybe. But, I don't think he has any intention of not going to OU. He just needs another party to run up the price and ND doesn't play that game so he had to find someone else.So the girlfriend and proximity to home stuff is all bullshit right? To make it seem like he's not in it for the money?
Works of an Oregon trip this weekend. He and Lamar laughing to the bank..
This number is likely wrong, per Bowen$2M for a high school safety. It's so utterly stupid.
For who? Doesn’t cost me a nickel why would I or any fan care? Give him $5 mil, $10 mil, whatever it takes. I want a loaded roster and wins.$2M for a high school safety. It's so utterly stupid.
There was an article today about how they bid $500k for a player and that wasn’t enough for them as they got outbid at $800k/year.
In sniffing around, implication is the recruit they were talking about was Keeley.
A big thing that sucks is this is now the 3rd time Irish fans have been very misinformed in the calendar year: Walker, Moore, Bowen.
Either the staff is Hellen Keller when reading recruitments, or premium sites withhold information to paying customers.
I don't really buy that these numbers like 2M are legit, though I think they're probably very large numbers still. But, I think these are like full earnings numbers. Like Keeley's is 800k/year so that's 2.4M over 3 or 3.2M over 4. Could Bowen get 500k/year from Oregon, for a total of 2M. Wouldn't be all that surprising when we consider that Hamilton made 7 figures in his first year of NIL.
If I were rich, I'd pay $500k/yr for an elite safety that is also an elite punt returner. My nostalgia for Tom Zbikowski knows no financial limits.
Pay $200 for a couple of tickets to watch your favorite team or donate it to charity. lolIf it's getting invested like a foundation, then $30m in principal is only producing $1.5-2 million per year max, which isn't enough to finance even one of these alleged top-shelf P4P deals. So for that $30m "war chest" to mean anything, you've got to have boosters on board with donating that every year just for the purpose of buying recruits. If true, that's batshit insane. Even the most established and deserving charities struggle to raise $30m/ year for worthy causes.
Okay guys, I have a stroke of genius. Each of you set up a collection pot at your grocery next to the Salvation Army. We'll have our own IE NIL fund and we can pay who we want.
