The reason I asked for confirmation on if Driskell had changed his pick or not earlier was because I had a feeling that when he realized sticking with his pick for ND while everyone else was flipping made him look ridiculous, if his leaking of the NIL was to counter the backlash.

Then by worrying about his own reputation he's likely ensured Bowen doesn't come to ND.

We will always lose to some pay for play recruits, but I have a feeling that these schools are not going to produce and you will be seeing a lot more of what happened to aTm in the near future.
Regardless of what happens, I think a lot of this has to do with like others have said, GF, friends, coaches pulling him to OU. Kid has to follow his heart and do what HE wants to do. Even if we went 12-0 this year still think we are in the exact same scenario as we are in now with Bowen.

Look at what some of their recruits have said on Twitter. Also from my understanding that is for once they get on campus/ all sports. The university as a whole, like ND can be all about pay once you play. The fans/ alumni can do what ever they want.

FYI just saw Zach smith starting a NIL fund for OSU. Despite their fans annoyance, the university as a whole is pretty good (not ND good, but also not southern school bad). I believe that the university wants to do it the correct way, similar to ND. Now we will see what happens in the future, but that’s the way I’m seeing things now, coming from an Ohio resident.
