Does it? If they aren’t significantly better than Pyne, there are bigger problems than the portal. So assuming they are much better than Pyne, then I’m perfectly happy with the room being Xfer X, Minchey, and one of the other three, with Carr also on the way…

I would like to see what he can really do, too. But the fact is he’s played SO LITTLE football over the last three years that he’s just massively far behind. And he’s clearly an injury risk. It’s a shame, but I don’t think he can be counted on to ever give us anything.

Terrible take! Guy has played two frickin games behind an Oline that couldn’t move Marshall. Get sooo sick of hearing what he can’t do, when he has had no time to find any rhythm in HS or college.

Joe Schmidt was never going to be an NFL linebacker but BVG deserves credit to be able to get Schmidt to be well enough to give us a chance to get 10 wins and a NY 6 bowl.

In BVG’s defense, he didn’t recruit Schmidt.

Let me first preface my remarks by saying that I am a Buchner supporter and believe that he has the tools required to be a successful QB and I hope that things work out for him.

But if we are talking about transfer QBs what are the odds that someone like Devin Brown or Kyle McCord from OSU (whoever doesn't win the starting job). We recruited Devin a little bit if I remember correctly, and he appears to be behind Kyle from reports, would that be a possibility?

Or do we not want a young QB to clutter up the room? I just don't think that any of the older transfers really make sense tbh.

I don't think it's a good idea or a good look to bring in a young guy with Minchey and Carr currently committed. You gotta bring in a Grad transfer or nobody at all, otherwise you're saying that you don't think either recruit will be ready to play within a year of stepping on campus.

I’ve seen absolutely nothing to indicate Card is thinking about transferring. Just people speculating that he probably will because he’s currently behind Ewers and Manning is coming in.

Certainly a reasonable suspicion, but currently there isn’t any smoke at all.

From the sounds of it, Hudson Card would be an academic fit. Business management major. Academic all state in high school. Has made the commissioner’s honor roll every semester at UT.
