This is bad. Tough situation for the team to be in.

I know a lot of information will come out later but you would think this is an isolated incident.

So tragic. Heard on the news this morning that the shooter was on the FB team in 2018. No other details. Wondering if there was a grudge?

Posting because it’s close and I sort of know the kid since I spend a lot of time around NMSU athletics and coaches. They are calling the NMSU player a “victim” but there are a lot of questions being asked why he:
1) Was out at 3am the night before/morning of a big rivalry game.
2) Had a gun and how did he get it? Did he bring it along on the bus? After the Virginia Football thing… yikes!!
3) Was involved in a fight a few months ago that nobody knew about.

Lol. If we arm everyone, we’ll all be prepared.
You see the best way to stop violence is to have everyone armed....wait no, they cant actually use the guns...thats escalation! I just want something to stop the government but not *those* government people because then they would feel unsafe.

Certainly don’t understand this one……too many folks already take shots at the police when they are trying to do their job. To me it reads as people can “legally” defend themselves when police overstep their boundaries. The police, in general, are already under a microscope if they make a mistake. This will not help the police do their job and will just give people an(other) excuse to shoot at them.

You can't come into my home illegally, even if you're a cop. That's not terribly controversial.

I wasn't sure if this was real. I had heard nothing about this on the local news in Indy or in the Indy Star. Search results on the Indy Star came up empty, so I googled "Indiana state law lets citizens shoot police officers.". Every result was some some outlet I never heard of ktt2.com, 6ix.buzz, trendsmap.com, theweek.com. I clicked on a couple of the links and found this law was passed back in 2015. Old news gents.
