Yeah I agree also he has a hard time just throwing the ball away and ends up taking a sackInjuries, lack of reps

Staying healthy and actually putting touch on the ballSo what’s his biggest problem?
So what’s his biggest problem?
Accuracy, touch, moving through his progressions and looking off defenders. So what’s his biggest problem?
Jokes aside and assuming it was a legitimate option, him not reclassifying when QB was such an obvious need was certainly…curious.
Not joking. If he's in the 23 class he has the chance to take over as a red shirt freshman. Now he has legit competition and may not see the field for a very long time.Jokes aside and assuming it was a legitimate option, him not reclassifying when QB was such an obvious need was certainly…curious.
This is exactly how I would approach it. I’m sure the staff was very transparent with him.Minchey starts '23, '24', splits some time with Carr in '25 before getting drafted.
Carr redshirts '24, gets some time in '25, gets to be the man in '26 with 3 years left to possibly play.
QB’s who split time the season before the draft are almost universally not drafted.
LMFAO NFL-calibre college QBs don't split time to make a younger QB happy.Minchey starts '23, '24', splits some time with Carr in '25 before getting drafted.
Carr redshirts '24, gets some time in '25, gets to be the man in '26 with 3 years left to possibly play.
Starting as a true freshman?Minchey starts '23, '24', splits some time with Carr in '25 before getting drafted.
Carr redshirts '24, gets some time in '25, gets to be the man in '26 with 3 years left to possibly play.
I can only think of two:QB’s who split time the season before the draft are almost universally not drafted.
What happens when Tommy gets a five star in both '25 and '26?Minchey starts '23, '24', splits some time with Carr in '25 before getting drafted.
Carr redshirts '24, gets some time in '25, gets to be the man in '26 with 3 years left to possibly play.
They all earn Notre Dame Men honor for waiting their turn! What happens when Tommy gets a five star in both '25 and '26?
…behind a yet to be identified, undersized 3 star who comes outta nowhere to win the starting job. Haha. Just kidding, but maybe not. They all earn Notre Dame Men honor for waiting their turn…
Don’t you think they’ll try to get a transfer in time to enroll for Spring semester?Let's be real... what we’re looking at is:
-They will try for a transfer QB this off-season. If they get one, then you’re looking at a 4-way open competition for the starting job in 2024. Carr will redshirt.
-If they don’t get one, it’s likely a 3-way competition next year and then whoever wins the job will hold it for ~2 years and then Minchey/Carr will compete in 2025.
All other scenarios involve injuries or transfers.
super unrealistic,… Minchey has at least three Heisman trophies by 2025Let's be real... what we’re looking at is:

Isn't there a new transfer rule where the only time to pick up a transfer is right before spring ball starts?Don’t you think they’ll try to get a transfer in time to enroll for Spring semester?
There are 2 45 day windows, in December and then again in the Spring.Isn't there a new transfer rule where the only time to pick up a transfer is right before spring ball starts?
That first one - post-season/pre-spring - is when the QBs with serious intentions will make their moves. There are 2 45 day windows, in December and then again in the Spring.
Yeeeeep. We'll find out the portal QB we're getting in that window. That first one - post-season/pre-spring - is when the QBs with serious intentions will make their moves.
