Exceptional recovery by Rees. Like Cooper P said at 247, his body will have him ready to compete right away. It'll be interesting to see if his head will be. There is a much needed and very interesting QB competition coming to South Bend this Spring and Summer. The team will only be better because of it.
He's taller and heavier than Pyne - even without a beer belly!

Welcome Mr. Minchey! QB position looking very good going forward with Kenny for 23' and Carr for 24'.

I don't know that I have ever been this excited about QB recruits since I started watching ND football as a South Bend native in 1983.

Watching his film, I'd say his head will be there.

I feel like Tommy must be a Vince Vaughn fan. I think he posted a Wedding Crashers .gif last season, and then he's got the TE sneak labeled "Mitch-a-Palooza" with a reference to Old School. Wasn't Vince on the sideline for the Purdue comeback in 2012? In any case, he's got the right celebrity ND fan.
He was also our celebrity on the sideline for the '12 National Championship Game...

What are you talking about? She shed her pregnancy weight awhile back, she looks excellent still. Check her Instagram.

Just read the article Loy posted with his sometimes QB coach, Thomas Morris. Basically saying he's an absolute stud and great kid. Anything 55 yards and under is pretty much a lock. Maybe the most accurate QB in the class and makes it look easy and consistent.

Super bright and can pick up a playbook with ease.

The funniest is how many times him being a legit 6' 2" was mentioned.

I'm terribly excited about Minchey. I think we have a for real starter here.

Tommy and I being the same age and identical cultural references is so damn funny. The wolf of wall st gif when he announced he was staying, old school and wedding crasher references. It’s me and my college roommates all over again.

Also, Minchey is a stud. What a grab.

He was definitely there for SC in '05...came through a party at swim house I believe with Brady after the game...would've been a fucking movie had we pulled that one out

The only thing that will hold Kenny back this spring is how quickly he adapts to the speed of the game/smaller windows. He makes a lot of dangerous throws in his highlights because he's mastered the high school game in a very short time frame.

Has all the potential needed to lead this team to the playoffs (maybe has the potential to take us to the promised land).

Love this pickup

This is an intriguing pickup for the QB battle in 2024. You’ll probably have Buchner, Angeli, a RS freshman Minchey, and true frosh CJ Carr. And, who knows, maybe they grab another transfer.

Minchey is definitely good enough to potentially delay the Carr Era a year or so. He’s not just going to lay down and be content with being a career backup. Exciting times for Rees and the QB room. Things are looking bright.

I could see him having a similar career arc to DeShone Kizer. Comes in sandwiched between the current starter and the higher rated prospect that everyone thinks is the future of the program, then ends up being the best QB in the room.
