Trojans lost their best RB yesterday. Likely out the rest of the season.

Should be a replay of Kelly’s first win over usc in wet weather with the great Tommy Rees handing the ball off to Robert Hughes all night and him destroying the usc spirit.

I don't know which Conference is weaker the Big10 or Pac12. USC is definitely beatable. These last 2 games will tell how good they are, they have UCLA before us.

Idk but the whole "bi-polarity of the B1G/SEC" takes we saw preseason have been exposed so far. The B1G West would be won by like 5 different Pac12 teams and the East has its laurels through the big dogs scheduling one OOC team that's currently ranked.

The problem is that USC has the firepower on offense that will then allow the defense to take a bunch of chances against ND.

I’d be surprised if after watching the Navy tape if USC doesn’t come out playing tight press coverage and blitzes every play.

#8 Trojans play #12 UCLA... and it doesnt appear to be on any of the major TV networks.

No one seems to care about the Trojans this year.

USC has at least 3 face mask penalties on defense in this game vs UCLA

Watching the first part of the UCLA game, that defense was manhandled by the UCLA OLine.
The USC QB is weirdly talented, and they have several lightning bolts in the fancy positions,
but they look like they care about themselves as individuals --- the QB publicly pouting after one play.

Got to believe that we can "hit them in the mouth."

USC is pretty much all about the deep ball.

They've really struggled to hold up at the point of attack against a subpar UCLA defense. They've had 5 drives end up in scoring position and the result is 17 points.

ND's defense isn't going to be as forgiving as UCLA's.

Soooooo it’s a typical USC team?

ND’s defense has been terrible in the red zone though.

Imagine a ND team that will have potentially beaten 4 top 25 teams and two of them being top 7 teams and still not be ranked in the top10.

I’ve thought this exact same thing…….ND could be up around 15 after this weekend. After they beat USC and their bowl opponent, cracking the top 10 is within the realm of possibility.

We better not play this game like we did against OSU. I think we have to be very aggressive or Caleb could tear us apart

Eh, not really. At least not recently.

They've forced 5 turnovers in the last 5 1/2 games. In context, ND's forced 5 in the last 3 games.

USC took advantage of forcing a ton of turnovers in the first 4 games, but since then, they've come back down.
They’re still really good at forcing turnovers…really good. Doesn’t mean their defense overall is great but the way they’ve been able to turn the ball over has helped mitigate that.
