How many are there? I’ve been to the Valpo and Michigan City locations. Had a few friends working at them back in high school.
Warsaw and Plymouth both had them at one time. That was one of my favorite pre ND rituals growing up. Dad would always take us to Schoop’s after the game.

And bacon, pepper jack, grilled onion, Avacado, and toreados,… hell, make it spicy mayo,.. bring it
Only thing on that list a burger benefits from is grilled onion. Everything else is a distraction. Pepper jack???

I’d just go to a sub shop if I want a sub, but there’s something comforting about the shittiness of Subway to me. Probably the same deal how some of you savages like that cardboard called Little Caesar’s
Subway is the Little Caesars of subs. Way too cheap with the meat and cheese, but they're more than happy to put a volleyball size amount of lettuce on there.

I agree with this. To this day Subway is my comfort food. When I was first out of college and in my first teaching position, I lived on Subway $5 foot longs. Eat half for dinner, take half for lunch the next day. Double up on all the veggies for no additional charge.

When my wife and kids are away and I’m fending for myself for dinner, I still hit up Subway and get my old order sometimes.

Also, if Which Wich was more universal, I think it would be a lot higher on the list. Same with Potbelly. I think if you combine ubiquity with quality, Mike’s and JJ’s are far apart from the others and it’s not all that close.
Never heard of Potbelly before, but Which Wich is outstanding as is Jersey Mike's. Firehouse is good, but cheap with the meat for the price. Penn Station is outstanding as well.

Italian food is overrated, I’m with acamp on this.

Since we are still on food and Tis the season what’s everyone’s take on thanksgiving food? Southern corn casserole hits hard, turkey not so much
Soooo I gotta say are we taking Italian American food or real Italian like the heavenly stuff you get in the motherland? Cuz AI food simply is not Italian food.

Me: How was the burger?
ACamp: It was awesome.
Me: I meant the meat. How was the meat?
ACamp: I have no idea.
It comes as no surprise that the IE white wife crew is all,… ‘burger’:

I’ve never been to Italy so I can not comment on that, strictly speaking American Italian food
