LC is about the same as Domino’s to me, but both are better than Papa John’s.

I will fight anyone at any YMCA that makes such a claim. Papa John's is my 2nd favorite pizza chain that came out of Indiana. 1st is Salvatori's in Fort Wayne...Best. Fucking. Pizza. Ever.

Nothing wrong with a hot n ready in a pinch but,…. It’s clearly the worst big name fast food pizza option and not close to PJs,… not close.

It's close enough that's it's a way better deal. LC isn't as good as the others but if I'm gonna spend $20 per pie I'll just go to an actual pizza joint.

Fermented dough is the way to go. Homemade tomato sauce with crushed San Marzano tomatoes with a traditional herb, onion & garlic base, a few slices of buffalo mozzarella, light drizzle of EVOO, a few basil leafs sprinkled throughout. Mama mia, now that's pizza.

Simplicity is best, fellas.

I've never even heard of some of this fast food chains everyone is talking about. For fast food chains my options are the Big 4: Dominos, LC, Pizza Hut and Papa John's.

My power ranking:
1. Dominos
2. LC
3. Papa John's
4. Pizza Hut

But, thankfully we have enough good local places that I only need to eat from a big chain maybe 2x per year.

I'd rather starve than eat dominos

the other 3 are decent
Y’all (IN, most specifically) remember Noble Roman’s back in the day? As a kid, there was nothing better. They still have their breadsticks and cheese in a random gas station near me and they still taste like they did in 1994. Peak nostalgia.

Edit: I think they still have a few locations around, but it isn’t like it was in the 90s.

Costco frozen pizza >

I don't think I've seen a Costco-branded frozen pizza at Costco. My Costco sells the Motor City Pizza deep dish pizzas, which are really good.

But I would prefer Costco's foodcourt/takeout pizza over 9/10 pizza chains (even my local LaRosa's). The amount of cheese they put on the pizza is heavenly.

So does Aldi

Yes. My wife stops in weekly for our produce... but she knows that if they have their take-n-bake buffalo chicken pizza available, she is legally obligated to get one.

Home Run Inn is *elite* frozen pizza.

YES. Went to ND/Syracuse in 2008. Frozen and miserable. Tailgated at the car with *only* alcohol (stupid college freshman move). Didn't stop for a steak sandwich on the way in like we intended. Felt like I was going to die and/or freeze to death in the stands... found a lone stand in the top level of the stadium selling personal Home Run Inn pizzas.

To this day, I say that is the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten.

The frozen version beats most other grocery store pizzas for sure.

Noble Roman’s was legit, especially the deep dish. There was one a few miles from me that just closed a couple of weeks ago. Very few left.

Godfathers was another really good joint, but they closed them quite a while back. They’ve popped up in some gas stations. Not bad and pretty close to the original.

The only thing good about Papa John's is the free peppers. They're pizza is terrible.

Godfather's was really good back in the day. I also really liked Pizza Hut's priazzo from way back in the day. They stopped making those in the late 80's. They're not good anymore either.

I am a big fan of Marion's pizza in the Cinci/Dayton markets. Very thin crust cut into tiny squares and they offer some really creative toppings.

Here’s another Indiana pizza take, and this will be unpopular to a lot, but Pizza King is absolute garbage. Like eating a saltine with a few toppings.

Maybe the Papa Johns stores around here are just bad in comparison because I'll never, ever touch that place. LC > PJs IMO.

But neither compare to Hungry Howies (round) or Jets (deep dish).

Let's be honest, if you want a quality pie in the first place, don't go to a chain, but I understand the convenience of delivery, and can only imagine that's multiplied to the nth degree if you have children.
