The hairpiece or the rules?I mean it is better than nothing... at least trying to do something

I had mentioned this earlier, but ND admins have been absolutely convinced that what A&M was doing last year (and others were this year) was 100% against the rules no matter how they dressed it up. And I believe they are/were correct… NIL is only supposed to be a way of supporting players on a roster NOT used in tampering to steal a transfer or to seal the deal with a recruit… but we’ll see if anyone actually gets slapped on the wrist here for what they’ve been doing.![]()
Task force to big-money boosters: NIL sanctions could be coming - Sports Illustrated
College administrators are finalizing guidelines expected to clarify that boosters and booster-led collectives are prohibited from involvement in recruiting, sources tell SI.www.si.com
Scorched earth. I love it. The best part is, kids are dumb and will absolutely tell schools what's going on.I had mentioned this earlier, but ND admins have been absolutely convinced that what A&M was doing last year (and others were this year) was 100% against the rules no matter how they dressed it up. The NCAA is totally cool with you saying “guys on our roster are making $X through NIL and you can do that too” but they are not at all OK with “Spyre Sports” or the equivalent getting players to sign a contract for $8mil. Or some fuck boi from USC tampering with a player for Pitt and offering him first round NFL draft money to be a mercenary for a year.
The only solution is snitching + enforcement.
Well, also, Pittsburgh surely knows what's going on here. And if this keeps up every middleweight and below program in college football will get pillaged for their best players. They far outnumber the A&Ms and Tennessees and USCs that are doing the pillaging.Scorched earth. I love it. The best part is, kids are dumb and will absolutely tell schools what's going on.
Apparently new NIL guidelines will be retroactive.
uscI should know better than to expect anyone who deserves it to be punished, but man it'd be sweet to have the NCAA kick the shit out of Texas A&M, Miami, Oregon and all the other new money schools.
This is telling about how good ND's NIL situation must be IMO
Brey's not lost much to the portal but he certainly isn't bringing much in either.
Could you imagine our board if this was happening?
I could see his lazy ass preferring to let money do the recruiting for him.He did just have his best recruiting class in years. Maybe Brey sees NIL as the equalizer needed for ND to recruit for basketball now that days of under the table money grabs to AAU coaches is mostly over.
Oh, I get the sarcasm from the response tweet. That is why I posted it here. If we had one recruit that took stuff down, and then someone responded with this, I believe half the board would jump on the side of people jumping ship/time to freak out. Another half would laugh at the obvious humor. And then @ACamp1900 would say that he's surprised anyone would want to come to ND.I assume it is because they did sign up for Summer semester yet? Reading the reactions on twit that seems to be the censuses that it is a joke.
Not at all... there are plenty of masochists out there....And then @ACamp1900 would say that he's surprised anyone would want to come to ND.
