I had mentioned this earlier, but ND admins have been absolutely convinced that what A&M was doing last year (and others were this year) was 100% against the rules no matter how they dressed it up. And I believe they are/were correct… NIL is only supposed to be a way of supporting players on a roster NOT used in tampering to steal a transfer or to seal the deal with a recruit… but we’ll see if anyone actually gets slapped on the wrist here for what they’ve been doing.

The NCAA is totally cool with you saying “guys on our roster are making $X through NIL and you can do that too” but they are not at all OK with “Spyre Sports” or the equivalent getting players to sign a contract for $8mil. Or some fuck boi from USC tampering with a player for Pitt and offering him first round NFL draft money to be a mercenary for a year.

The only solution is snitching + enforcement.

Well, also, Pittsburgh surely knows what's going on here. And if this keeps up every middleweight and below program in college football will get pillaged for their best players. They far outnumber the A&Ms and Tennessees and USCs that are doing the pillaging.

The NCAA is taking the right steps as far as rules, but articles say they are understaffed about 15-20 people in the enforcement area to do much at the moment. Didn't sound like they were in a hurry to get these positions filled which comes as a shock to all of us.

Oh, I get the sarcasm from the response tweet. That is why I posted it here. If we had one recruit that took stuff down, and then someone responded with this, I believe half the board would jump on the side of people jumping ship/time to freak out. Another half would laugh at the obvious humor. And then @ACamp1900 would say that he's surprised anyone would want to come to ND.
