So here you are introducing the Ukrainian flag into a Covid thread?

Really

What is your real issue?

Do you hate this flag?

The first national flag for Ukraine was adopted in 1848 by revolutionaries who wanted its western parts to be freed from Austro-Hungarian rule. They based their flag, consisting of equal horizontal stripes of yellow over blue, on the colours of the coat of arms used by the city of Lviv.

Is there something in the yellow color
and blue color that makes you twitch?
I hate communists who shove their ideology down everyone's throat under the guise of their virtue of the day. This thread was resurrected by the meme of Vlad putting Covid six feet so not sure how your infinite intellect couldn't sniff out the correlation.

The colors are a bit LA Rams-ish so I can't say I care either way on the colors. However, the blue falls somewhere between Tar Heel and Blue Devil so maybe I am double triggered subconsciously.

Also a fan of the MIA Fauci memes. Dude's probably in a clinical depression over lack of spotlight exposure.

The long-term side effects are something that no one is talking about. We hear about myocarditis, neurological issues, etc. stemming from the vaccine, but what about 10-30 years down the road?

Why are we not pausing to say "Hey it takes YEARS for most drugs and vaccines to be approved because the FDA wants to see what the long-term effects are. But this vaccine is suddenly okay after 3 months of studies?" Humans have made a lot of things that end up being detrimental to our health. Asbestos, Round Up, and a lot of medications that never make it to production because they are toxic and do more harm than good. Why are we not applying that logic here?

That's a serious question. Someone articulate an answer that isn't "BuT cOvId Is KiLliNg So MaNy PeOpLe AnD gRaNdMa WiLl DiE iF u DoN't SuBmIt tO sUpReMe LeAdEr FaUcI!!1!" Because that's a bullshit answer.

Also it's reckless endangerment of a child to vaccinate them. Period. Unless you subscribe to your local Teachers' Union position that kids are just little Covid spreading shitheads. Then it's totally fine to triple vax your kids and send them out in a haz mat suit.

Did anyone, from day one, think natural immunity was going to be inferior to the vaccine? Wouldn't that be like the FIRST time in recorded history that would be the case? Why was natural immunity ignored, discounted and ATTACKED instead of celebrated as part of the solution? Does not compute - and all the vax-holes can do is berate and label (or libel as history will probably prove) "anti-vax" with the implication that anyone who even questions is literally Hitler.

So mandate and impose a vaccine on those with natural immunity or else they can't work or travel or go to school or whatever. I don't think these Commies understand just how much they overplayed their hand in relation to the kids in school situation. They needed Vlad to distract from the shitshow that is our youth right now.

I have no problem with people leaning on natural immunity after having been infected. I just hope that those folks are taking the other people around them into consideration when they are sick, or putting themselves at high risk of becoming carriers, and making smart decisions sans-vaccination.

But the original post was "how'd them vaccines do? LOL"

The answer to his question is that they're doing just fine, because they're saving lives as they are designed to do.

You are attempting to label me as anti-vax in your "whatabout" statement. Admitting there is risk in BOTH Covid and the Vax should be the starting point to any honest conversation. The question becomes measuring that risk for any individual situation with very incomplete information on the long term effects of both.

You said "natural immunity is not a safe route for many people" which logically (and in my opinion correctly) implies that it IS a safe route for many people. Yet I don't see you bashing mandates or standing up for anyone who is of low risk or previously infected.

Can't release yourself from your Covid virtue.

Requiring people who had prior infection to be vaccinated was just wrong. Firing health care workers who had previous infection but refused to take the vaccine was despicable.

I didn't label you anything. And I didn't whatabout anything. I just proposed those who are relying on natural immunity to be responsible around their loved ones that may be at risk. Is that controversial, or labeling you anti-vax? Or are you just on the offensive because you automatically assume I'm an enemy because I think the vaccine is helpful?

I have both had Covid, and gotten the vaccine. I will let my children rely on natural immunity, and won't be getting them the vaccine, because they're too young to (1) be at high risk, and (2) if I'm a guinea pig and have deformities in my old age from long-term vaccine side effects, then fuck me, I knew the risks of a fast-tracked vaccine, etc. Conversely, my kids have the luxury of both time, and relying on their immune systems.

I didn't come here to attack those proposing natural immunity.

I came here to remind Razor that dunking on the vaccine might feel cool, but it IS helping people. That's all.

Fair points and 100% agree the approach for healthy children. You bet I am overly sensitive to the commies that want unvaxed to be shunned from society and lose their jobs regardless of age and previous infection status. I apologize for coming over the top but I am not falling for "two weeks" ever again. WWIII is being pitched along the same vein.

Note Toronto liked a comment that discloses unvaxed kids and admits the vaccine has risks. :p

Well, shucks, Bubba!

More cynical minds than mine would have labeled you as anti-vax once you played the "Vax-hole" card.

Once you label yourself it's tough to take it back.

For my own part I am more bothered by COMMUNISTS who kill Ukies and send them packing to Poland.

ND has lifted a number of restrictions. Still need to wear in labs and a few other places, but in general areas masks are optional.

I would love to know why 66% of Hong Kong's over 80+ aren't vaccinated. Seems borderline intentional by China.
China, in general, is using it's own vaccine and hasn't had great rollout. A lot of Asia has done super crappy with vaccines... which is compounding itself as a problem, because they used lockdowns to stay "COVID free" but there is no stopping Omicron. South Korea is also getting crapped on right now.

It‘s now been two full years since COVID infected our lives. Ironically (or not), we seem to be at another calm before the storm as mask mandates are relaxed and most of America is returning to normalcy. Is another variant upon us as our vaccine protection wanes? I think we can all agree COVID is now endemic so I’m hoping that the pharma cos are developing a yearly jab that provides longer protection. I just can’t see folks getting four jabs per year. Then again, I couldn’t see this lasting two plus years.

At this point, if we get another variant, it'll 100% be because of Asia-Pacific and their stupidity. It was beyond arrogant to think that they could actually pull off "zero COVID" once we had the facts on Omicron. Yet, China and other places are still trying to lockdown millions of people.

The only proven way to get COVID to be endemic is to vaccinate to protect people the best you can + let it run its course like any other disease. Right now, they are prolonging the problem.

Given their past history, I wouldn't be surprised if this was an intentional act to help control their population.

It's distrust for the Chinese government as well as western medicine by the elderly there. It will be interesting to see the data that comes out because it'd be the one place you could get a direct Sinovac to Pfizer IFR comparison.

It's unfortunate that ivermectin doesn't work. I think everyone would be in favor of a miracle therapeutic of prophylactic if it existed. Best options moving forward for long term immunity are likely to be the whole-inert-virus vaccine or the Walter Reed developed vaccine.

I know three people personally who would argue Ivermectin does work. Two who were 3 weeks in struggling to breath, started Ivermectin, and 24-26 hours later they were nearly clear of symptoms. One was my brother, and he said "I could tell within 12 hours I was getting better." And he couldn't hardly get up to answer his own door he was struggling to breath so bad.

Some will write it off as anecdotal, but real people getting real help tells me otherwise. And, after the way HCQ was falsely attacked by a major medical journal (who later axed the article which based upon a false study), I'll remain skeptical of studies for a season until they are proven legit.

CDC mask mandate for travelers struck down by federal judge

Silly me - I expected the bump to be from this and instead find disinformation whiners pulling up the weirdest shit nobody has ever seen before. Would have loved this to be a day earlier so wouldn't have to face diaper in the airport yesterday. Stewardess even ragged on the regulation as she read the script on one flight.

I respect your opinion but see it differently.

It is essential for any TRUE Christian or Catholic to understand the hate, lies and opposition

Few modern Catholics, (including grandchildren) understand that one of the three pillars of the Klan was antipapism and anti-
Catholicism

We need to be equipped to be "as innocent as doves, but as cunning as serpents."

Not suppress lies and hate but look them in the eye and know these truths of Christ:
Matthew 5:11-12
John 3:20

In fact, at dulac they should offer two courses:
World hatred of Christ, the Catholic Church and its message
American History of Anticatholicism

I am not saying you are wrong, I just choose a different solution.

I was about to leave an airport last week and took my mask off just as I was heading to the door to the pick-up area. An airport worker snaps at me to put my mask on. I point at the door that I'm less than 10 feet from and say "I'm leaving." She says "you still have to put it on." I said "I'm walking outside" and kept going. She starts calling after me "you still need to wear your mask" as I am walking out the door. What will these joyless, ball-busting Karens do now that they can't play mask police?
