More Canadians less people’s republic of California softies.
Who would have thought that a star from Mater Dei would be a prima donna.
Reading that interview makes me think it’s unlikely be signs here unless something drastically changes. Jaxson Dart + Devin Brown + USC WR history is an easy sell for a SoCal WR.
So....how'd he play last night? Didn't he go up against Mickey?
Damn y’all turn on a dime quick lol
Centennial's secondary kept him in check. I didn't see his name mentioned once in the recap. Mater Dei scored all three TD's on the ground with one bomb to Barkate being the only pass play mentioned. Final score 21-16
Mater Dei moves on to play Servite next weekend.
With no additions, it’s possible we’re looking at a pretty sparse bordering on alarming QB room and WR room. Idk why we are acting like that isn’t true lmao. I’m concerned about it too. Why he said it to a a reporter? Idk prefer he didn’t. But to act like he’s digging Angeli or not acknowledge they are valid concerns, or at least things you want to see sured up is dumb.
there's always the portal. we can get help there if needed.

Imagine this class without CJ and Amorion
Don't worry, we'll find some mediocre walk-on and convince ourselves it's better that way.Imagine this class without CJ and Amorion

I’m not worried about the QB room. I’m 2022 it would be Buchner as starter, Pyne #2, Angeli #3 and Mirer #4. Adding second QB in the 2022 class would be nice, but it’s not a necessity. As for the WR room, there is legit concerns there. Maybe ND can get an OSU scrap ala Jameson Williams.
Only way Pyne transfers us as a grad transfer. Is he on pace to graduate early? If so he could be gone after next year.
Are we 100% Pyne is back? That’s where it would enter alarming territory. He’s gotta be thinking he could start at a lot of G5 or lower P5 places
Can you all explain to me why you all think Pyne is transferring after this season?
Pyne is a huge Notre Dame fan just like you, me, all of us here on IE. He loves everything about Notre Dame since he was like 4 years old. The kid is not transferring until he graduates at the earliest. You all have to be out of your mind if you think that kid would transfer before getting his degree is crazy.
Don't worry, we'll find some mediocre walk-on and convince ourselves it's better that way.
I never said I think he will. But it’s also not impossible. It’s rather simple, he’s shown some capability to be a starting QB, he’s likely getting passed over to be the starting QB, a second time. If he wants to ball, he could transfer. It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. Pyne is not like you and me, he’s a elite athlete that could want to be a multi year college starter.
Additionally, even if he doesn't graduate early and he "only" graduates on time, he would still have 2 years of eligibility because of the COVID year. I can't see him leaving without his degree either. It’s impossible. I’m telling you it’s impossible and I’m the IE prophet. If Pyne ever does transfer it will not happen until he has received his degree/graduates.
