Del delivers. I am eating crow about him now. Glad to do so. He has stepped it up. Two nice classes back to back.
I saw something on Twitter to the effect of a couple schools have recruited as well as Notre Dame at WR the last couple years (Bama and Clemson) and only one has exceeded (Ohio State). That is some championship level talent accumulation my friends.
2 great recruiting classes and I love the versatility of these weapons. Let's rank them:
1. Colzie
2. Tobias (1 and 2 could change depending on the day)
3. Styles
4. Williams
5. Walker
6. Thomas
I would still love to see us get another shifty WR. I want a WR group that is like a basketball unit and I feel like we are missing that shifty Point Guard type. I also believe that a WR could emerge that we aren't talking about
Williams at 4 is pretty wild too me. Best possession/every down target type of WR recruit since Floyd imo.
I mentioned this is Tobias's thread. I think its easy to make an argument for any of these 4 to be anywhere in order. Which speaks to how good they are all. Some have CJ at the top, some have him at the bottom. Some have Colzie at the top, some have him at the bottom. I may have them in a different order but I find it hard to argue with those that differ.
Williams at 4 is pretty wild too me. Best possession/every down target type of WR recruit since Floyd imo.
I'm hoping he breaks the mold on Cali skill players being overrated. Because his physical traits don't "wow" it's hard to say... could see him being a beast, could see him being a quick transfer. Certainly rooting for him, he seems like a great kid.
I wouldn't skip TJ Jones.
