Congratulations to CJ and the entire Williams family! What an incredibly special young man, going to fit right in and be an incredible representative of the University!

Great tidbit

Loy said he committed to some of the staff (I believe Rees) around July 9th but they didn’t tell Del till a few days later on Del’s birthday

Heck yes! I know everybody has their favorites but this kid is my most hyped offensive prospect. Everything I see of him looks extremely promising.

Tremendous run by Del and Tommy at WR. Truly special group. Best back to back WR duos of the Kelly era.

CJ’s value to our roster is his ability to compete right away. A very well conditioned and polished WR.

The, in the gym 7 days a week comment from earlier in the thread is notable. A couple months back, Matt Freeman, made a similar comment that resonated very well with me. CJ is a great fit AND football means a lot to him. We need guys that are fits but football is what they come here to do and expect to do after.

Del delivers. I am eating crow about him now. Glad to do so. He has stepped it up. Two nice classes back to back.

Gotta love it when recruits take pride in it. Means just a little more.

I saw something on Twitter to the effect of a couple schools have recruited as well as Notre Dame at WR the last couple years (Bama and Clemson) and only one has exceeded (Ohio State). That is some championship level talent accumulation my friends.

It was a bit of a cherry picked stat considering Bama, OU and others will fill in their class with almost 10 of the Top 20 WRs uncommitted. Still 2 blue chip WRs per year I think meets the hurdle needed. A third or one being legit 5 star type is the icing.

2 great recruiting classes and I love the versatility of these weapons. Let's rank them:
1. Colzie
2. Tobias (1 and 2 could change depending on the day)
3. Styles
4. Williams
5. Walker
6. Thomas

I would still love to see us get another shifty WR. I want a WR group that is like a basketball unit and I feel like we are missing that shifty Point Guard type. I also believe that a WR could emerge that we aren't talking about

Williams at 4 is pretty wild too me. Best possession/every down target type of WR recruit since Floyd imo.

I mentioned this is Tobias's thread. I think its easy to make an argument for any of these 4 to be anywhere in order. Which speaks to how good they all are. Some have CJ at the top, some have him at the bottom. Some have Colzie at the top, some have him at the bottom. I may have them in a different order but I find it hard to argue with those that differ.

Well said Lucky. Colzie, Styles, Merriweather, and Williams could go in any order between 1-4. I like Colzie at #1. ND is looking great at WR for the future.

I'm hoping he breaks the mold on Cali skill players being overrated. Because his physical traits don't "wow" it's hard to say... could see him being a beast, could see him being a quick transfer. Certainly rooting for him, he seems like a great kid.

I can get behind the JuJu comparison. That's all I want to see: A dominant possession receiver that makes big money in the NFL. Not too much to ask, right?
