Lot of Bearcat fans are OSU football, UK basketball fans when things get tough. Lion do you have 2 fandoms or 4?

With all due respect, you can fuck right off with those implications lol.

Seriously though, most UC fans I know these days are UC-only. The people that double-dip and still root for OSU in addition to Cincy are of the older crowd. Think UC's version of ND's "Down In Front" guys.

I also don't know any UC-first people that root for UK basketball. There's a moral discrepancy there that's too vast to overcome amongst the fan groups. Some NKY residents that are big UK fans might say they root for UC on the side to be friendly, but UK fans are generally #BBN or bust.

Ha I didn’t think you actually would be just was curious how you’d view the lay of the land. There was probably a lot less double dipping as you described as much as when I was in Cincy the bars and media coverage would surge above UC and make it feel like the casuals were rooting for the blue bloods instead (more OSU than UK, basketball is pretty divided)

You've described most of the older males in my family on the Ohio side of the river. They root for UC when it's a good story... but generally they are OSU football fans above everything, and if there is any perceived threat to OSU based on UC's success, or if UC is getting too much love, they suddenly downgraded UC to "little brother" status and shit on them as small-timey whenever possible... and I would consider them casuals, probably, because even though they tune in for OSU every weekend, they couldn't tell you a full unit of 11 starters by name probably.

Family functions get interesting when sports come up lol, especially when they're feeling feisty and come at me about ND.

They generally save the red helmets for special games or big matchups.

They missed an opportunity to go with red pants, but I think they consider using all three uni colors to be "special" as well.

Doesn't really seem like that big of a deal to send out a hype tweet but that's just me haha

It sounds exhausting to be a UC fan.

Two things:

1. Have you guys touched on the green jersey rumors elsewhere in the past couple of days? Not sure they are widespread but I had a couple of DM's asking but I've been out of the loop for the most part.

2. Has ND always / recently put shamrocks on the practice helmets? I don't usually follow practice news other than summations here so if they have, I've just never seen an official photo.

1. Hadn’t heard this, but will check.

2. I hadn’t seen this before. Some said they’ve done it “for awhile” but I see no proof of this. I think it’s a new thing.

Idk how many years but the shamrocks have been there. We just almost never get in season photo or video of practice. A random poster IIRC said it coincided with SWAT practice stuff so possibly Balis?

Here's why I asked about the shamrocks:

OK... I kinda remember it now that you mention that. Thx Dale.

Probably a little soon to tell, but has there been any discussion if Freeman will change the uniforms in the future? Seems like each coach likes to make their mark and do their own thing.

Green jersey rumors seem to pop up for every bowl game. If MF[SUP]2[/SUP] goes with them, I hope he pulls it off like Lou did.

Other than for special occasions, I hope that they don't trend far away from the regular uniforms. I like the look and the fact that they've basically kept the overall look the same for years.

“Alexa, play ‘Notre Dame Football Pants Color” discussion.”

Thats always a fun time.

Is MFMF a mustard pants guy, or a champagne pants guy?

We're gonna find out and then yell at each other about it!
