Was at II last year. Was scheduled to be there this year though I didn't see any confirmation he was. still shows on his 247 timeline he was there.

Got invited late to The Opening and tore it up. Made the first or second team 7v7.

Scored over a 130 Sparq. Serious number.

Is a state champion in swimming. Very important possibly if he's looking at Michigan who I think is the B1G champs.

Sister may have made the Olympic team as a 15-16 year old. Didn't see the conclusion to that story.

Was talking about this kid this morning with a college coach. Said ND is interested. Weird timing.

Ryan Switzer 2.0.

Problem I see is he is a slot. Obviously Michael Young just committed and if need be CJ Holmes could play slot.

Unless the staff does what I recommend and move Young to QB and gets this kid at slot.

Sherm, we gotta get back on the same page because aren't we moving Avery Davis to the slot? lol

This kid is a lot taller/longer than Switzer. Switzer's 5-9 I think.

This kid I think projects like Torri Hunter. Put him anywhere. I read another peice that he measured in at 6-0.5 barefoot and he has extremely large shoulders/wingspan which makes perfectly good sense being a champion swimmer.

And back to his Sparq score at the Opening. He had a 133 which was second place behind Holloman's 135. 41" Vert, 4.15 shuttle, 4.57 40.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

His sister was one spot away from making the Olympic team. Oliver has some really good swim times, but just borderline D1 level. If he focused on swimming he would be there. He wants to play only one sport in college and it will be football or baseball.

True a lot taller than Switzer. And you are right he could play any WR position. But I'd prefer him in the slot. His tape is really fun to watch though.

247 stating that he's initially looking to visit twice this fall. As already posted he's really blown up since the opening. I agree with Crusader, he could play more than just the slot. In fact, I think he might be best suited for the X position. That puts a lot of speed and quickness on the field if you were to pair him with a Young.

That is absurd film. Holy crap. I mean the competition might be terrible but he is an unstoppable force of nature.

No joke, I counted the players on the field to make sure Iowa wasn't one of the states that has to play 7v7 ball. I think that's the Dakotas, though.

Kidding aside. I would be totally cool with the staff offering him and ecstatic if he committed. His clips from the Opening were pretty dope.

Comparisons aside, do we have a shot with him? Given his offer list I would think we would jump to the top if we offered.

Would love to see this kid end up an ND amd get moved to running back. He definitely has great hands but I think he could be our Christian McCaffrey. Moves a lot like him, very good vision, smooth, cuts at full speed and accelerates well.

Keep him at WR. He's not Christian McCaffrey.

Agreed. He's got a nice frame to be a ripped up 185-190, similar body type to a Will Fuller. But you don't want this kid taking the type of pounding that an RB would. Put him on the outside and get him involved in some jet sweeps and things of that nature but he's isn't running the inside zone 10 times/game.

I'm not sure. If you watch him at the Opening (i.e. Not in pads), you can tell he's ripped up but lean. He already has Will Fuller's size. He could easily bulk to a 6'1" 200-215 pounds.

I'm not necessarily arguing for him to be a RB, just pointing out that he very well may grow into a big, strong WR/RB hybrid. Dare I say... A white Theo Riddick?

Fuller was a about 165 in high school. The reason that he got a little over-looked is because he was one of those guys you really wonder if they are going to be able to take d-1 tackles. Turns out he was able to put on a few pounds, and was generally too fast to be tackled (at least to take direct shots)!

He sounds like Tori Hunter to me.

Funny side note, I forgot who it was, but someone described CJ Holmes as a "quicker" Theo Riddick. Now Theo is not fast, but that kid could juke a rattlesnake. He's as "sudden" as they come.

Fair, I was probably low on the weight number. Personally I don't believe he's the 190 his profile says. I can't see him getting to 215 but who knows. He's a lean frame and I wouldn't want him taking 10+ shots a game from DT's and LB's. I'd have him at X with the ability to take jet sweeps and get involved in the run game from there.

FWIW, he compares his own game to Eric Decker. Can't say I watched too much of him in college though.
