That's awesome but I'm just curious since this occurred seconds before the ball is snapped. Why does that not constitute as some sort of penalty? If a lineman were to reach up and tap a DL on the head they'd be called for a false start.
I'd be livid if it were to be called because it just appears to be two great athletes showing each other respect. Just asking for my own selfish knowledge.

I bet the ref saw it and just smiled and thought to himself "game on"
That's how you end up being on ESPN as a ref for the "C'mon man!" segment.
That would absolutely be some "ND shit" right there... call the entire play back on some weak stuff like that... lol
These officials would have called it back

I don't know if it's just me but I'm staring to develop a dislike of Stanford that is on par to SC.
I'd say that's because they've been better than SC for the better part of a decade now....
If first rounder Will Fuller has a sliver of space to work, he’s going to embarrass a lot of guys deep down the field. During 7-on-7, he got behind not one but two guys, adjusted to the ball in the air, turning all the way around, and made the catch for a touchdown.
Then, during team drills, he ran a quick hitch in front of a DB, then hit the gas up the field. Defenders coming from the inside that thought they had angles lost those angles in a hurry. As I said earlier this week, speed kills
Improvement is the key from one day to the next and first rounder Will Fuller is improving from rep to rep, day to day. Facing corner Richard Leonard, a cat-quick cornerback from FIU, Fuller shook the former Panther defensive back with a double move in cut that was outstanding. Later in practice during team drills, Fuller crossed the formation down the field and made a tremendous one-hand snag for a long completion and first down. One other thing was the fact that he was the first one in front of the jugs machine after practice.
Rookie wideout Will Fuller made the best catch we’ve seen him make in the days we’ve been able to observe practice. Osweiler threw one to the sideline where Fuller had the defensive back on his hip. As the ball got there, Fuller snatched it away for the first down catch. That catch...if he can make that catch repeatedly, it’s going to be really tough to stop him
First time seeing the video and while its amazing, the video does cut a second after the handshake. My guess is that the handshake and the touchdown were on different plays. For example, no Carlisle before the cut and then you see him in motion afterwards.
Well, you would guess wrong then. I remember watching the play, it was our offense's opening play, so the handshake was the football version of "touching gloves". It definitely happened all on the same play.
• The Texans are quietly raving about rookies Fuller (a first-round pick) and Miller (third round) because both have acclimated well in the system. Fuller has shown the speed that he was known for at Notre Dame, but he’s catching the ball much more consistently.
cant teach catching
That's how the rest of the AFC South has felt about TY Hilton.I do not like the idea of Will the Thrill facing my Colts twice a year.
Sure you can...
It just requires hours and hours outside of practice on a jugs machine. Almost as if you treated football like a full-time job.
Wait...
They couldn't do that at ND?
Should've spent more time on Aristotle. He would've understood that the Final Cause of his hands is to catch footballs. The Jugs machine spent too much time in the library reading Socrates no doubt
