I'll let you know where I think he'll play in August, 2018.

Doesn't surprise me. People are comparing Jones to CRob and MB but at what ages? I never even saw CRob or MB's soph film.

There was no comparison on my end in their games was just stating that people around here thought those guys may have grown to TE's too.

Listened to BGI and ISD and both hosts reckon Jones is a better prospect than Boykin and its not close

I'm surprised because I was very impressed watching Boykinks junior film.

I guess I should just wait a year or so to evaluate Jones.

Scout: Highly recruited 2018 WR Micah Jones has top five

Gurnee (Ill.) Warren 2018 wide receiver Micah Jones is one of the Midwest's most sought-after prospects in his class, an after adding another Big Ten offer recently, has a list of five who are his top schools currently.

Micah Jones has been getting recruited since his freshman year with his 6-foot-5 frame drawing interest from around the country.

Now with seven offers, the rising junior has five schools who he has at the top of his list.

"No order: Michigan State, Notre Dame, Illinois, Northwestern and Iowa," he said.

Michigan State was his most recent offer, coming through last week. The Spartans have quickly become a top option for him after that offer.

"I love the blue collar feel of the program. You have to work for everything you get. I also love the closeness of the program. It's like a big family."

Jones had to earn the offer during the Spartans' Rising Stars camp, but chose to spend extra time there looking into the school.

"The visit was great. I went down the day before the camp and walked the campus with my dad. Then I went to the camp and got the offer there and after we ate and talked to the coaches. Overall they are great people and the school is a great and beautiful place."

Jones plans to continue his camps and visits through next month as he looks to expand his offer list and get to know the programs who have offered even better.

"I am going to a Kentucky camp in July and I will be visiting northwestern the 23rd of July. I will also be visiting Illinois. I'll probably be back down to both Notre Dame and Michigan State very soon."

According to gb. He's my step child when it comes to film evaluation though, follow me.

lol I get it you got this one right and you were correct but how many damn times have you whiffed? Wooly probably has it written down somewhere. Good call on Micah Jones I was wrong and I hope you enjoy the 4th drinking Mic Ultras and chasing tail.

Also Calves I appreciate that I've been your biggest fan lately

I also asked a ND mod a while back what he thought of Jones and he said "good athlete, not really explosive and questionable hands" That's where I got it from and Greyworm also pointed that out. Sure he made a nice catch in that little highlight but you people are acting like I made all this stuff up. Since all of you are talent evaluators watching youtube clips of "highlight videos" I guess I'll leave you too it then. Don't all highlight tapes look great? Have you ever watched a highlight tape and seen someone drop a pass?

I like what I saw from his II performance. Plus, I trust Denbrock, Sanford, and BK with in person evals. I think he'll get more explosive as he grows into that frame. Not many 6'4 HS sophomore WR's out there that are incredibly explosive at this stage. More weight room time will be needed but when isn't it at this stage.

Agreed here, I just think with his size if we could turn him into a rush end or a linebacker? Is he physical enough? Denbrock knows how to look for WR's it just seems like they all are 6'4+ with a lack of explosiveness and speed. I am not saying all of them because that just wouldn't be true but I just don't see room for another "Big skill" WR. But I guess they want another one and I am putting my argument on this one to bed.

Does anybody else wonder how this kid gets so wide open?

You see it some in his sophomore tape, as well.

Film was shot last week at the"Two Star DB Camp."

Bordering how much I can quote here from 247, but I know there's debate on how good this kid is, here's some spinets from Sharpley's eval of Irish Invasion. Feel free to delete if necessary.

"blue-chip prospect. Jones has size, speed, strength, and explosiveness."

"-Jones gave defensive backs fits all night at Irish Invasion. No one could match up with his size and strength. It almost was not fair. He was aggressive running routes, and in a one v. one setting, getting rerouted was never a concern. Jones used his primetime size to manhandle the smaller defensive backs."

"-No doubter, here. Jones is a W is Notre Dame’s offense. Line him up to the short side of the field and let him go to work. You’ll see comebacks, digs, curls, slants, hitches, looks, posts, and the like with Jones, especially if teams are more concerned about vertical routes to the field wide out or the slot. Without safety help, Jones could have a field day in one on one coverage."

Area for improvement: "-Normally, the most important area for a big is focusing on fast hands in and out of breaks. While Jones was fairly consistent at Irish Invasion, it is something he can take to next level"

Man Stoval was awesome, I forgot about him.

He was awesome his freshman year. Sophomore and junior years was disappointing. Once McKnight went down with injury in 2005 Stoval stepped up to the plate in a big way his senior year. Became a second round draft pick.
