Lugg on the other hand had a mixed outing going up against three-star tight end/defensive end LaTrell Bumphus, who holds offers from the likes of Tennessee, Auburn, USC, Oregon and Texas A&M. Bumphus got the best of Lugg on a speed rush in the first drill before the 6-7, 295-pound tackle, who is still recovering from a sports hernia that was repaired in January, was able to rebound and stymie the speedy end on the next few reps.

"It was good to see Lugg get out there and show the progress he made," Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman said. "We know he's coming back from an injury, and he just got cleared, so he wasn't in prime shape, but he played much stronger than he looks. I still think pass blocking wise there's still a little ways to go, and he looked a little bit more like a right tackle than left tackle, but he was patient, which wasn't easy."

The Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny product will return to South Bend this weekend for the Blue-Gold Game to hang out with a number of other Notre Dame commits. He is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 13 offensive tackle in the class and the nation's No. 76 overall prospect.

I think he is a 3 star on 247 now. Kid is underrated and is going to be a star RT in college in and the league.

He's a 4-star everywhere. If he was a 3-star on any site I would have complained about taking him by now.

A big guy that plays through the whistle and finishes blocks is always a good thing. Looks like a good athlete too. He gets out into space with intensity and easily engages smaller, quicker defenders. Could be a good one if he continues to develop and gets some bend in his hips.

hopefully he wont loose his edge in BKs pass first offense.
