I don't see that as cheap at all, I find that pretty interesting. Just like we knew characters could possibly be resurrected, Bran being able to communicate between time could add a lot of different scenarios to the story arc. I find the thought quite intriguing.

It would be interesting, and I could grow to like something along those lines.

But, in terms of the other obscure things, such as ressurection, there's at least built-in groundwork for that. The books seem to make it pretty clear that the past can be seen but not changed, and there isnt any wiggle room. Everything else, death especially, is left a bit more open and with purposely blurry lines.

I guess I would just be disappointed if GRRM sprung for "time traveller changes things" as part of the endgame. "Time traveller watches past but heart-achingly can't change it" is much more GRRM's speed.

BUT I'm also realizing that I'm starting to feel like a book-snob about books that haven't been written yet. So I'll just keep rambling about my anti-past-alterations.

I hear ya, but I think I'm looking at it differently. I'm not thinking its enticing because the past can be changed, but rather that it already has been changed. That the words that the Mad King heard were always Bran. That the words that Ned Stark heard were always Bran. The storyline wouldn't be that Bran changed the past, but rather that he was part of the story all along.

That was an incredibly moving and emotional movie. I have 3 daughters so I may have been deeper into it than most.

Great comparison. Certainly lots of contrast too.

Maybe Bran always was... There.

I imagine poor Bran would be emotionally challenged. To see all the people he loved, be hurt, molded, killed, etc and not be able to directly interact would be rough if this theory holds true.

Wonder if Bran spends his evenings hanging with Dany

This is what I'm hoping for too. I hope we get a scene with Bran saying stuff to the Mad King. So the story doesn't change, it's just that we get an explanation of the whispers the Mad King heard.

I still can't get over how great a scene that was for Daenerys. She's actually back to making power moves.

Everything is awesome and they need to release al of the episodes now so I can binge watch them before I leave the country.

You thought that was a great scene? I feel like they ran out of ideas so they just rehashed the Season One finale.

I liked the scene because it actually moved her story forward but the whole surviving fire thing was kind of a rehash, as wizards mentioned.

Thought the rest of the episode was awesome.

I thought she showed a practical application for her fireproof ability that scored her a massive new Army. The season one finale introduced the ability, now she's putting it to use. If she has the ability and never uses it, what is the point? I think the scene was really good.
