Was it a magic poo? Like The kind where you feel the poo come out, but there is no poo in the toilet?
I heard that the sequel includes the poo singing about Christmas.

Ha... Is Now You See Me based off a comic or something? I was unaware.

I'm not a fanboy of any comic or movie, frankly.

I try to stay out of this thread (as I def qualify as what ya'll call a hater) but got bored and just saw your comment and responded... the additional context was lost on me... (seriously if I read through this thread entirely I'm sure I'd need a detox bath).

That trailer actually has me a bit concerned. I realize this will be a "comedy" in many ways but the jokes seem overwhelming.

No one knows how much he'll be in it for sure. Looking at the trailer I'm assuming this are flashbacks of Batman. He's really thin, and the batmobile doesn't have guns on it yet. So the flashbacks are probably to set up the Joker and whatever happened with Jason Todd.

There was an article that came out a few days ago that said the movie was going through re-shoots to make it funnier because they said all the jokes in the movie were in the trailer. I'm concerned because Warner Bros doesn't seem to know WTF they're doing. They basically think BvS was too dark and gloomy so they wanted to make SS funnier. The only problem with that is these movies exist in the same universe and it just doesn't make sense to have a gloomy BvS and a SS that tries to be GOTG or Deadpool.

I was just coming here to post that I read that Warner Bros. is spending a bunch of money on re-shoots.

It seems they might be overreacting to the "BvS was too dark" critics, which worries me. I'm probably more jacked up for this movie than I have been for any of the comic movies, and I'm not even a huge comic guy.

If the only funny parts are the parts in the trailers, which is a few Will Smith jokes and some humorously-unstable Margot Robbie lines, that would be perfectly cool with me. But I also got the feelings, even from the first two trailers, that the whole movie is going to border on "delightfully unhinged" so as to be funny, hence the use of music over the trailers. And that would be cool too.

But they're going to make it uncomfortable if they're trying too hard to make a movie called "SUICIDE SQUAD" more light-hearted. It's supposed to be demented and dark, no?

I'm hoping they do some flash backs. I want to know how the hell Wayne mansion burnt down.

I'm just going to repost something I had written somewhere else cuz im too lazy to write it all again.

People are stupid if they think shit like that, that costs tens of millions of dollars just happens over night. First of all pickups are something that happens on almost every single movie, and second the timing would have been impossible if the reason for the reshoots was solely BvS.

Those "reshoots" were already planned before BvS ever came out, they were happening no matter what the reaction to BvS was. Also way back at comic con David Ayer said that Suicide Squad was going to be much lighter and funnier than BvS.

Saw BvS last weekend. DC got nothing on Marvel. Didn't think Affleck killed it as Batman, also confused that Superman was picked up from the previous movie but Batman looks like he departed from the Dark Knight reboot ... or did it? Unclear and annoyed by the lack of clarity on carry through of his back story. Lex Luthor casting was the only casting I didn't care for, and the CGI Doomsday.

Wonder Woman was pretty great addition, well beyond the obvious phenomenal eye candy.

Aquaman is still the biggest puss of all superheroes ever. Yes I could tell from the thirty seconds of airtime he got.

jesus that looks like such a piece of shit.

Leto is a very good actor, but damn he's gotta be nuts for even touching that role. What Heath Ledger did in The Dark Knight is simply untouchable. That was literally perfection. Dangerous territory they are roaming into, wouldn't want to touch that if I was an actor or director. I'd rather just leave the joker out of the thing and go a different route.

And WTF is up with Guido-Jersey-Shore Joker? Slicked back guido hair, purple lamborghini, big gaudy gold jewelry, gangsta rap grill, and sweet jersey shore tats. Jesus Christ. It's like they're trying too hard to go in a completely opposite direction that they've just went completely off the rails.

IMO the main reasons why The Dark Knight movies were so great were because of the story, the characters and the development of the characters within that story and their relationships and interactions with one another. It also helped that they had some unbelievable actors in some of those films. Liam Neeson, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy. They had some real god damn amazing actors in the lead roles man.

Even though I think The Dark Knight Rises was kinda dumb and corny and a little over the top and easily the worst of the 3, it still worked. I was more willing to over look the dumb shit because of the strength of the acting and the way in which Nolan unfolds everything, and because he actually develops the characters and makes you care.

I swear those scenes with Alfred and Bruce Wayne in that movie is the best acting you will ever see in super hero movies. The parts where he was talking about hoping he wouldn't come back to Gotham and having that fantasy where he'd look across the table and see him with a wife and kids and they wouldn't speak, they'd just smile at eachother and that'd be enough because he knew he was happy. Or the part where Alfred finally leaves Bruce Wayne in tears. Or the ending. Swear they could've just ended the movie with just the look on Caine's face. He's such an amazing actor he conveys it all right there with a look, no need to really say anything or show the shot of Bruce with the girl. That part gave me goose bumps when I saw it in the theater for the first time.

That's the kinda shit that made those Nolan movies great. Because without that it's just some dumbass over the top silly movie with visual fx, explosions, sound, and a bunch of dickheads dressing up in stupid costumes.

Literally the same exact thing people were saying about Ledger's Joker trying to live up to Nicholson. Joker is far too important to just leave out of these stories.

And WTF is up with Guido-Jersey-Shore Joker? Slicked back guido hair, purple lamborghini, big gaudy gold jewelry, gangsta rap grill, and sweet jersey shore tats. Jesus Christ. They modeled him after Greg Capullo/Scott Snyder's Joker from their run on Batman. If you haven't read or seen any of it it's absolutely amazing. In the flashback sections of ht etrailer you can see he doesnt have any of the tattoos or the teeth.

Viola Davis, Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and more. This movie is not short on fantastic actors.

How can you tell the characters won't be developed and you won't care about them from a 2 minute trailer?

You realize this isn't a Batman movie right? This is a movie about a group of villains that get bombs implanted in their heads and are forced to work for a secret government agency. This is a ridiculous over the top concept. This is supposed to be fun and "comic bookish"

now THAT looks good. I'd spend $9.50 on a ticket and $20 on a popcorn and coke to watch that. Benedict Cumberbatch is a phenomenal actor. I don't even know hardly anything about comics, didn't know who Dr. Strange is but that movie just looks good.

Suicide Squad? Eh. Maybe I'll catch it when it ends up on Netflix in a couple years. Maybe.
