From a strict corporate rivalry perspective, I'm thrilled at the remarkably terrible reviews that BvS is getting. You can't make an entire universe with the tone of The Dark Knight because not all heroes are Batman and it's just a mental drain on the audience. Superhero movies aren't supposed to be moody and thought provoking at the expense of being FUN.

DC seems to drop the ball often with Superman. When was the last time they actually put out a decent movie with the Man of Steel? The actual movie "Man of Steel" is probably the best one in recent memory, but before that? A lot of duds since the original Superman film with Reeve.

Zack Snyder is just a bad film maker IMO. All style, no substance. Saw the movie at midnight. Spoiler alert: it sucks.

Always thought the casting of Lois Lane and Perry White were bad in the Man of Steel, still think that in this movie. Michael Caine's Alfred blows this new one out of the water. Can't even compare the two. This new Alfred might as well not even be in the damn movie. Jesse Eisenberg over-acts the shit out of his Lex Luthor. Wonder Woman and Batman are the best parts of the movie. Ben Affleck did something I never thought possible, but I think he is THE Batman of Batmans on the big screen. Think he even trumps Bale. He is probably the only good part of that piece of dog-shit movie. And Wonder Woman too. She's actually pretty good.

Affleck did an excellent job, but we cant forget the true on screen Batman Michael Keaton.

This is what has scared me since he was announced all through the released trailers and ads. I know a lot of people really like him, but I only seem to like him at his most subdued. Plus, the over acting antics belong more with Joker or Riddler, not Lex.

I have not seen Batfleck yet, really liked Bale, but I freakin' loved Keaton (especially in his first one).

Bruce Campbell is my hero.

Back in college he was doing a book signing tour, circa 2001. I didn't have cash for the book that week, but I showed up anyway hoping he'd sign my Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movies and games (I think I brought 3-4 things to sign without buying the book...I was an ass). The bookstore was packed, and only people that had bought the book were allowed to sit in line, everyone else had to wait till the end. I estimated the book line was at least an hour long, with the signing set to go for another couple hours, so I left to grab some dinner. Come back less than an hour later, tons of people still inside, but they had the book store security gate half down with someone guarding the entrance preventing people from coming back in. A lot of other people had left earlier as well, and they were fighting with the guard to get back in. After some verbal confrontations the guard said "Let me talk to the boss" and he left his post....yet left the gate half open. Everyone was just standing there like idiots, so I slipped back in and hid out among the crowd.

Long story short I ended up getting my stuff signed, and like a nerd I was all star struck when I met Bruce. I nearly forgot my camera, as some of his assistants took my picture with him while he was signing my stuff.

I am with ya brother...add "The Chin" to any movie and it improves!

I've never liked Jesse Eisenberg. Just don't think he's all that great of an actor.

I think this should've been more of strictly a Batman movie, with Superman as more of a supporting character. They just tried to do way too much and cram way too much into 2 and a half hours. It was just very disjointed and hard to follow.

The film looks great and I think they did a great job casting Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. But that's about it. Poor directing, poorly written story, and some poor casting in some major roles like Lois Lane and Lex Luthor really tanked the film. And I can't stress it enough, but I hated the Alfred character in this movie.

It wasn't the choice of casting, Jeremy Irons is a pretty good actor, it's just the way the part was written, he wasn't even necessary and the relationship he has with this Batman is almost non-existent. You don't believe for a second these are two people that are very emotionally attached to each other.

If they would've given the film to another director and writing team it could've really been something amazing, because a lot of good parts are there. It's just a Zack Snyder film. Best way I can describe it. I don't know why they gave him Man Of Steel and I don't know why they'd give him this after Man of Steel was pretty meh at both the box office and with the critics.

‘Indiana Jones 5’ Is Happening With Steven Spielberg & Harrison Ford In 2019 | Deadline

Not sure if this was a comic book, but I didn't know where else to put it.

Please don't suck.

did you see that last abortion of a film they did? My god was that movie with Shia La Douche a giant piece of dog-shit.

Not getting my hopes up. Kinda mad they are even doing another Indi movie after that last one sucked so bad. The first 3 are flat out classics. Hate seeing them make new garbage films just to make a buck.

so is batman vs superman as bad as everyone is saying?

I thought it was really good. Afleck is amazing as Batman, and I really loved all the world building. I can't wait for the Justice League. I really don't get all the hate from the critics. Rotten tomatoes has a fan rating of 70%, but the critics gave it a 30%.

I agree with you on Affleck, he did an awesome job. He got a ton of hate when he was cast, and all those people that were trashing him look foolish right now, because he was legit awesome and the best part of a pretty damn mediocre movie.

I'm with you on the critics. It's got a 29% rating on Rotten Tomato, other movies like The Avengers 2, both of those Andrew Garfield Spiderman's, and Daredevil have way higher ratings, but imo those movies sucked even harder than Batman v Superman. Like way, way, way harder.

I really think the movie had a ton of potential, I don't think they could've cast Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman better in one movie, they nailed three of the four most important characters to cast. It was just ruined by Zack Snyder, he ruins everything he touches, also ruined by some poor editing, discombobulated story, and Jesse Eisenberg over-acting his ass off like his life depended on it.

And Batman v Superman.

Saw it last night and it was a really fun movie. To expect more from something based on comic books is unreasonable.

Spoiler free BvS

Watched BvS last night. Lots of cool elements and action but my God was it all over the place. Affleck was really good. Batman was a bad ass. Superman was mad most of the time. Lex Luthor was Jesse Eisenberg and not Lex Luthor. Doomsday looked like shit. The way they revealed the other JL characters was total garbage. 97% of the movie happened at night. It didn't help that the sound was messed up for the first ten minutes at the theater I went to. It really sucks considering it was one of those awesome RPX IMAX theaters that have great sound. Gal Gadot is f'ing hot. That's my spoiler free review.

I haven't liked Jesse Eisenberg in anything other than Zombieland.

It wasn't bad while it was being a B list knock off oceans type heist movie, but once it got to the end it went completely off the rails. I figured it was going to wrap up with a cool montage of how they pulled all the tricks off.....nope apparently it was just real magic. Wat??

I don't remember that being the case. Didn't Morgan Freeman figure them out? And we just never saw how things got pulled off because Freeman got put out of commission, minus the "Mind Transporter" or whatever that put the guy in the "bank vault"?

Also, I didn't mind the movie at all. I enjoyed it pretty well. But the final "Twist" was just so shallow and lame.

No Morgan Freeman figures them out and then in the end he takes them to some secret merry go round thing that supposedly has something to do with an ancient group of real magicians that they are being welcomed into. It was really really dumb.

Now I need to watch it again.

Sidenote: bummed that Isla Fisher isn't in the new one. Had no idea Harry Potter was in it.

Ah that's right! Ruffalo is the one that welcomes them to "the eye" that's what that shit was called lol.

Right, and the Ruffalo setup was that he was the magician that was locked in a safe at the bottom of a river and never escaped.

But then BAM! He's made a career of law enforcement his entire adult life, just for the moment at the end of the movie, to reveal himself.

Everything before that was good, though.

Ha... Is Now You See Me based off a comic or something? I was unaware.

I'm not a fanboy of any comic or movie, frankly.
