Would that be Randy West aka Randy White, aka The Manster?

I'd be okay with a young Dan Hampton

I am curious as to why you think this kid is a lesser athlete than EVD.
Also, how do you compare their strength and leg drive?
A much as I love me some Danimal, I'll hope for a an Art Donovan clone. One of the all time characters in football history and the only Notre Dame alum on the list.
love thee Art!

Three-star defensive tackle Kurt Hinish committed to Notre Dame in March following his first visit to South Bend.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder from Pittsburgh Central Catholic returned to South Bend on April 16 for the Blue-Gold Game. He felt right at home spending time with his future teammates and coaches.
“It was nice,” Hinish said. “It was like visiting back at home, honestly. I can't wait to get back up there for a regular game.”
Hinish and his father drove up for the day and spent the morning getting to know the Irish staff and several other prospects including Josh Lugg and Brock Wright.
“We were hanging out and playing Madden,” Hinish said. “We were talking to the coaches. It was real nice.”
Hinish already knew Lugg from their time playing against each other. It was his first real opportunity to talk with Wright.
“We're pretty good friends now that we hung out with each other,” he said. “It's nice making a bond and having chemistry before we actually get to play with each other. We talked to a couple of the younger guys too.”
After the game, Hinish spoke with defensive line coach Keith Gilmore as well as recruiting coordinator Mike Elston and defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder.
“I talked to coach Gilmore after the game,” Hinish said. “We talked about the game and how he thought the defensive line did and how it improved and what they have to work on in the off-season. I talked to coach Elston and coach VanGorder too for a little bit.”
Notre Dame’s defensive line impressed Hinish.
“They got after it pretty good,” he said. “Notre Dame's defensive line is pretty good. I thought Andrew Trumbetti did a really nice job and Jerry Tillery too and Isaac Rochell is just an animal.”
VanGorder dropped in at Central Catholic on Friday to see Hinish and teammate David Adams, who also committed to the Irish in March. Hinish unfortunately was absent from school that day as he was having his wisdom teeth removed.
He plans to return to South Bend this summer for the Irish Invasion.
For now, Hinish is focused on his spring track season and adding weight for his senior year of football.
“I'm lifting and running a lot,” he said. “I'm trying to get up to about 290 so when I'm playing, I play both ways, so I'll drop down to about 280 and play there.”
Penn state trying to keep him in state. One to keep an eye on.
Yes, I heard about this too. My PSU buddies were texting me about it.
But according to Loy Hinish did think about visiting for the Iowa game just to check out a good game. Franklin followed him on twitter so I'm sure they have spoken
Also according to Loy he is listening and intrigued by PSU so take that for whatever it's worth. Loy has to be smarter than this though, recruits just don't visit schools to check out a good game. Obviously he is interested still in PSU and them being in the top 15 helps while we are 3-5 or whatever
Also read three pages of the thread about Hinish Pedo State has the most delusional idiots in the world. Holy moly
That's all I got for you now fellas, I would post and try to get more info but I am blacklisted from posting on that board

Duderino, you are blacklisted from so many sites LOL.
You used the word "Loy" 3 times in that post. Careful.

This is my biggest want of this class. Hope we run the table to show him this season was something of a fluke and we'll be competing for the playoffs next year.
So you're saying hire James Franklin? Why I was pissed about PSU lucking in to the win against Ohio State is that it could rejuvenate their program. Franklin is an incredibly good (if shady) recruiter. He's a shitty person and coach. This was obvious as the team floundered so it was hard for him to sell the program, but if he puts up 9-10 wins it's much harder to recruit against him. Just go look at some of the highly rated players he's signed in good classes the past few years... so if he gets rolling it'll be much harder for us to get and hold highly rated recruits from PA.
