So he's never had a Stanford coach in home or took an official there. Has he been there unofficially? I have to assume he's actually met the coach lol.

I have no reason to be a ND football fan, I just simply always have been. Is this kid just simply a fan of Stanford football, and that's only reason how they are even in consideration

If I earned a penny every time ESPN said a SEC school on their recruiting show today my house would be paid off.

ESPN didn't mention ND until 9:30...complete BS.

I love a good espn ragging, i really do. But i saw yesterday they had a schedule already in place about what time there were going to talk about certain schools. ESPN also has a direct monetary interest in SEC coverage, they should cover them more than ND.

TIFIW, a poster on 247 has a friend that is an involved alum at Savannah Christian Prep and said that he hasn't heard anything final yet, but word is that he is leaning heavily towards ND if his SAT's aren't good enough

This is how it seems to me. His Brother is his legal guardian. Both he and his brother realize that Stanford presents a much different opportunity than the SEC does. Now if he can't get into Stanford, then ND is the next logical choice.

The wrench in this is his mother who was not a big part of his life until recently and would like him to stay in state so she can watch him play.

Trying to stop a kid from pursuing a scholarship at ND or Stanford so he goes to Georgia? Sound parenting.

I dont know the whole situation, but there is most likely a solid reason his brother is his legal guardian...

What SAT score gets you into Stanford and what SAT score gets you into ND? Maybe I should say what SAT score is required. Just seems that it would be pretty close.

From A. Bone just a few min ago. I will take that seriously IF he ever visits.

quote:
<hr class="QuoteLine">Demetris Robertson reached out to Alabama today after seeing the additions at WR for Georgia. Alabama believes they may have a chance to sway him because of his phone call today. He will likely visit Alabama sometime next week. Alabama will hold a spot.

According to this website a 1930 gives you about a 3% chance of getting in to Stanford. For ND a 1250 gives you a 9% chance to get in. Take this with a huge grain of salt. All of this information is from this website, and I have no clue how accurate it is.

Everything we've heard in the last couple of weeks points to this kid looking for a reason to go somewhere other than ND. I still don't understand any of it.

So this young man desperately wants to go to Stanford because of his interest in academics, yet will turn down ND to go to Alabama if he fails to get admitted to Stanford? That makes no sense.

Personal opinion is that I think his brother has a lot to do with his recruitment. Loy says its good for us but I have my reservations.

Extremely bizarre to cancel a Bama OV for their HUGE weekend and NC parade (with friends) to then call them on signing day to set up a visit.

Something is off here and usually that's now where ND wins out.

Or a bunch of recruitniks are putting words in his mouth, but they've claimed that far too often for me to believe that.

The SAT website says the new range of scores is 400-1600?

We don't take the SAT in this part of the country so I'm pretty well clueless to that stuff.

Not sure if your phrasing was intentional, but you need to have those numbers on the same scale... that 1250 is equivalent ~1880 out of 2400. Also, this is all irrelevant to athletes.

So he was waiting to see how NSD unfolded for Georgia, didn't like it, and reached out to Bama.

And yet ND is supposed to be the current *favorite*.

This don't make no sense no more.

SAT will change over in 2016 from a 2400 pt scale (includes 800 pt Writing section) back to a 1600 pt scale.

The same applies to UGA and Bama. Maybe he just really had his heart set on Stanford?,

Best quote of the day: "Alabama will hold a spot."

Do we really have to pretend? The quote should be "Alabama is not concerned about numbers; it will always make room for the better player."

Would have to agree. I'm certain that as many times as he's canceled visits to Bama, that they are certainly not counting on him visiting and will not "hold a spot" (whatever that really means in Bama language) for him.
