How so? Michigan leads the series 24-17-1...
That is true, but in the modern era I believe its either tied or ND is up.

I sincerely doubt that Michigan wants to schedule us. Like Ohio State. Natural, but one-sided.
Victor Viramontes, who was one of the decommits after a summer commitment after a satellite camp, may be considering Michigan. He is a QB in h.s. But VV was never slated to play there at Michigan. A possible Safety. Room? We'll see.
where is our boy Tom?
.....Doesn't he have school today?

I believe Gary is a game changer for any program. I hope UM doesn't pick him up but it might be worse if he goes to Clemson. When do we play Clemson next?
It's really going to hurt if Michigan picks up big time recruits today.
I don't think any one single player is a game changer for any program. As great as Gary is, and he is great, it takes a team to win a championship in football. It's not like basketball where you can win 6 on the back of a Michael Jordan. Takes all 85 guys.
I've really only seen two players in my entire time of watching college football that could pretty much change a program almost by themselves and take a team on their backs and will them to victories. Vince Young at Texas and Michael Vick at Virginia Tech, but they were QB's that touched the ball every play on offense and guys like that just don't come around often. Only been two in the last 30+ years.

I think Tebow has to be on that list as well.
does he?
The first title Florida won, he was a role player who got snaps here and there.
The second title Florida won, it's not like he didn't have a shitload of help. Percy Harvin was honestly a better college player than Tebow IMO. I was at the Oklahoma-Florida national title game, and Percy Harvin is to this day the most impressive athlete on a football field that I have ever seen in motion other than Barry Sanders. He took that game over as both a runner/receiver. Guy just had a bounce in his step and moves and speed like very few have ever had. Not trying to take anything away from Tebow, who was a great player, but to me he's a good step below Vick, Young, and Cam.
Oh and not to mention the guys coach happened to be Urban Meyer, who is easily one of the elite college coaches of all-time and has a very proven, effective offensive system that has worked for him everywhere he's been. No disrespect to Frank Beamer and Mack Brown, but they are not on that level and Vick/Young put them on the map, not the other way around. Urban was already on the map before Tebow.
One guy I forgot about, CAM NEWTON. He only spent 1 year in college, but oh man was that year spectacular. He was right up there with Vick and Young. Just an imposing, physically dominating player. Size, speed. Couldn't stop him no matter what you tried.
I'd add Reggie Bush to this list. He was a lot of fun to watch.
Never saw Reggie live in college, saw him live for the Detroit Lions but he wasn't the same guy, injuries had taken a toll on his body by then.
USC was a verifiable All-Star team when Reggie was there, so it's hard to say he was the guy or the reason why they won so much, but I'd agree with you. He's right up there with Cam, Vick, and Young in my opinion. Reggie in college as a runner, returner, and receiver was the best utility/all-around weapon that I've ever seen in the college game.

It's definitely better for him to go to UM. Not only do we play Clemson and not UM, but we want the Big Ten to beat each other up. The better chance Michigan has to beat OSU/Michigan St. in any given year, the better for us.
That being said, I hope he signs with Clemson because fuck Michigan.

Yes. Since touchdowns became six points and the forward pass became legal, the record is 16-16 with one tie.
31-0 is a nice topping.
Michigan may never play us again. You never hear any interest from Michigan fans or the athletic department on playing ND. We can be gracious, though.
