Ha.
IMO, if he doesn't sign with us Wednesday its really b/c something/someone is pulling him to stay home in Georgia, and he hasn't made up his mind yet. Stanford's just smoke, until/unless Stanford actually starts recruiting him.

As a HS prospect, he's one of the most dynamic players in the entire country, similar to Jaylon Smith as a HS senior. That was the point, not that he's worthy of a top 10 pick in this years draft. If your goal is to one day be drafted in the 1st rd. then there is going to be a lot of pressure to live up to that. That's just the way it is. Most of the time, athletes look at pressure as motivation, not a crutch to hold on to.

I'd also add Mike Farrell for the most part is a douche but he did a piece where he rated Robertson as the surest thing in this class and I agree. Outside of injury I see very little possibility he doesn't impact the team he chooses in a major way.

Side note: you say that as if there will never be a prospect coming out of HS that is as good as Jaylon. Jaylon is special, no doubt about that. However, there are special players in every class. Demetris is one in the 2016 class.

Not saying you are wrong because I think he makes an impact no matter where he goes but as an example paid professionals in the NFL miss on first round draft picks all the time. These are scouts whose job depends on being right.

it's certainly an "option."

You're pretty much locked in to single coverage (assuming the triple-option is moving the ball on the ground--which it usually is). If you have a QB who can actually throw the ball then a WR can be deadly there.

Demaryius Thomas had 46 catches, 1154 yards and 8 TDs his junior year with Paul Johnson there. More yards than Floyd ever had in a season. Only Fuller this past year has topped that yardage for a ND WR under BK.

^This.

Play-action at GT is like a cheat code when their QB connects. If you watch GT play, they get their WR's open deep at an unbelievable rate. Nearly once per possession you can see a play where a WR is running with 5+ steps on the defender straight down the seam, simply because of the scheme the defense has to use. The problem is that their QB's rarely connect on the passes, because that's not their specialty.

Justin Thomas is as close to a legit passing threat as they'll get, I think, unless a top-rated dual-threat guy decides he wants to destroy his body and try to throw some TD's along the way.

It's a great system for putting up numbers for QBs and WRs who think college is their ceiling. But it's not necessarily good prep for the NFL, except in learning to block!

Loy - One source , as of this morning, believes Robertson will not sign tomorrow and take a visit to Georgia this weekend and likely decide after that. Signing tomorrow isn't out of the question, and ND is trying to get him to sign tomorrow and is in daily contact with him. If he visits Georgia, it's still expected he signs with ND, but the confidence would drop some.

Part of UGA's pitch is the power of a UGA degree when networking in Georgia. "Demetris come to UGA so you can have exceptional networking opportunities in the state of GA and this state alone. You'll never have to leave the state, ever."

So many sources saying so many things.

Fact is, no one knows shit. Let's just hope it swings our way. Or as the creepy Twitter guy would put it, "we need to really sign this guy" lol

...and don't ever apply for a job where an Emory or GT alum is doing the hiring. Can't have those elitists looking down their noses at your degree.

But hey 3rd place gets you a medal in the Olympics!

If he's that myopic and that's the limit of his ambitions, he belongs at Georgia.

Well according to rivals the bad news is that he will not sign anywhere tomorrow and that he will likely sign between the 13th and 17th. He wants to try and here from stanford. He may or may not take a trip to Georgia this weekend.

Also, We are the only school that has sent him an NLI and he is still in constant communication with Booker.

Per his brother they are still trying to OV to Stanford after he gets his SAT scores back. Definitely going past NSD.
