Wow very interesting. One of the biggest factors in him committing to ND was the Showtime series and the look into a life of a ND player.

Hehe, the show is paying dividends.

The Showtime series worked!!!!

Just said that the TV show was big in making his mind up to come to ND.

Credits the A Season With for letting him see more about the program

Welcome to the ND Family, Devin!

said the Showtime show was very influential in his decision

Studstill just said A Season With Notre Dame on Showtime really turned him on to Notre Dame. First recruit that I know that has openly admitted that

Lol.

He's going to be one of my favorite players over the next few years, I can tell. Reminds me of Manti and Jaylon. Well spoken gentlemen off the field but a gladiator on it.

Notre Dame now has the #10 recruiting class on 247. Before Hayes and Studstill, they were #17.

This sums it up pretty well. Quote from his coach, which if you guys didn't catch the commitment is a bit of an ND fan. Keep em coming coach.

"If you asked me for the strength of his game - I think it's that the fact that he's just physical. To me, he's the prototypical safety and what [college coaches] are looking for now. He has no problem getting down in the box and making tackles. He can also cover space, and in this day in age with all the spread offenses, he has the right skill set to be an exceptional player."

You will forever be tied to him in my mind... like JMc will be to me someday soon and Bryant's ab's & obliques will be to Koon.

You've got me looking forward to him suiting up!

Congrats to Devin!

No doubt. What's crazy to me is that there isn't a name left in our board that i am not excited about.

EXACTLY!

I'd start with the last guy on the board and go up and still be thrilled. My board was a 100% take as soon as Okonya went to Durham.

You say that with italics, but I honestly tie Lucci to him. He really loves this kid and was the reason I looked harder at him. When he camped at ND earlier in the year, I really didn't see what everyone talked about. He seemed good, but certainly not a kid you call out as your go to recruit at his position. I'm still not enamoured with him, but like him a heck of a lot better than I did after that camp. I think he could end being a good player, but I still don't see him as a can't miss prospect. I feel similar that I did about Tranquill, but I'll admit that he ended up being a lot better than I thought he would (albeit injured too much).

Either way. This is a kid to be excited about. While he isn't elite at anything, he's not below average in anything. He seemingly has great work ethic, very intelligent and a guy you can count on. Worst case scenario, he's a tremendous depth guy and special teams guy. That's a fantastic floor to have. Meanwhile, his ceiling looks unlimited. Welcome to Notre Dame, young man!

I'm 100% the same way... the italics were only for Bryant's belly and Koon.
