I saw "Spectre." Good, but not great. Not on par with "Casino Royale" or "Skyfall." I think that the film went on too long. That's the downside with director Sam Mendes. He has a terrific visual sense, but he has a tendency to stop and smell the roses for too long and be indulgent. I do appreciate the obvious fondness that Mendes has for the history of the movie series, but I'll be happy if he doesn't return to the franchise. I also noticed the distinct lack of really killer lines for Bond or anyone else. Nothing like "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die" or the repartee that Connery and Ursula Andress had during their first encounter. I'd like to see another good action director take a crack at it. There's talk of Christopher Nolan, which would be great. I also think John McTiernan would be a great choice.
