Anyone see his Facebook post regarding Kelly and Grimes? Here it is:

I aint feeling this and I know Grimes personally. The disrespect is on high. Kelly pick and choose who he get out of line with. If he feels like you not about that life he will try you. If that was Coach Longo snapping at the referee Brian Kelly wouldn't dare put his hands on him. He would of handled it differently and for that he gets zero respect from me. But this aint nothing new, if you played for the Irish and you've been in that locker room you know what I'm talking about.

Was liked by DaVaris and Jalen Brown.

geez, how about respect for the program and showing a unified front... if Kelly was wrong that's one thing, to air it out for everyone to see can ONLY hurt the program...

Malcontents.

add to that Jarron Jones just shared an article on it on facebook....HOWEVER the article states grimes was in the wrong, longo didn't do his job in keeping him back and so BK had to be the enforcer....but his mother also did no favors in sharing the living heck out of the "lawsuit"

Not everybody is going to jump through hoops to defend Kelly like you guys. What he did was over the top and brought negative attention to what should've been a minor situation. If Urban Meyer or some other coach did that you would be saying how terrible a person they are and that no kid should want to play for them.

Blah blah blah, I would've had the same reaction. Ohhh shit!! That assistant pissed the coach off.

Him getting to the NFL had more to do with him since he was the one on the field actually playing.

The boo birds are opportunistically using it to pile onto a prefabricated narrative about Kelly. It wasn't a great look for him, which is why he expressed regret for the episode during today's press conference; in other words, it wasn't nothing. But it certainly wasn't a big deal either, and those who insist otherwise are revealing their prejudice.

I never played for BK nor Meyer. I'm just a fan, just like you. If I was a former player, I would never have gone to social media with it; I would have kept it in house. It's obvious you would have gone straight to Facebook with it. Not me.

Of course, just like when I asked you for your top CFB top 10 (since you said ND was nowhere near a top 10 team), I'm sure you'll ignore this as well.

I have not jumped through a hoop, all day.

I think it would be wise for you to stop telling people what they would or would not do.

I mean, that is fair, isn't it?

Because, all I have said, and I mean I am talking about the 'Purple Face' Cult, is that other coaches have done as bad or worse, and no one even mentions it.

I for one am not an apologist for anyone.

Personally I would be embarrassed if I did that in public, if I were in a position of responsibility.

But, and now I am going with the 'I am not an apologist theme,' I cannot believe the number of mentally ill and unbalanced people that have allowed their own 'slips and falls in reality' to show through this incident!

I mean come on! As embarrassed as I would be for what Kelly did, that ain't anything compared to the miscreant behavior of some that want to lay their own sicknesses out there for the world's inspection!

Kelly, a serial-abuser? Come on. Anyone who would be caught saying that, if they were at all attached to reality, and had an ounce of health or logic, would realize that label is so far from the reality of the situation, that any healthy person would see the Kelly decrier as a walking mental disorder or disease.

And so it goes. On and on.

A whole lot of the purple face crowd has kids (DBG, [former Mizzu wr,] comes to mind) who don't have the character or smarts to play for Kelly; and many more are fans of programs that regularly sell out their own integrity for the price of a victory!

It isn't just all daft parents or opponent fans that show their true selves in a case like this.

Some Notre Dame fans that are negative and are (far from all, but a good number) Kelly critics, base their contempt on the myth that it was ever better than it is now. It wasn't. There were times things came together better, but not by more or less effort on the part of the staff. And the times were different. True, some legitimate critics when pared down to brass tacks, admit that they just don't like Brian Kelly; this has honor! It is fair and okay!

BUT.

With some of those, when you boil it down, there is no reason for the contempt, other than they are angry over nothing more that they themselves were cursed with 'tiny, ineffective' penises.

And if this were the case, and I was one of these unfortunates, the last thing I would want to do is make my true colors know!

Yea, but Urban Meyer and let's say Saban do that kind of stuff all the time and it won't be as badly perceived. But it's Notre Dame, comes with the territory.

Disappointed. I liked this kid, and I pulled for him to get a 6th year medical to come back. He chose the wrong path here, I'm sure he knows it too, because now the post can't be found it looks like.

I don't typically comment in these discussions, even though I enjoy reading everyone's point of views. However, something about Coach Kelly's actions and lack of acknowledgment of any type of wrong doing rubbed me the wrong way. I've been on plenty of sidelines, locker rooms and meeting rooms and I will be the first to say shit get "real" in all of those environments when tempers flare in the heat of action. Especially with the types of high strung personalities of the men in these environments. However, if u are a true leader of men, something I've also had the pleasure of being on both the college and pro level, there is a certain standard you MUST set for the men you lead, especially when in the heat of it all. In the words of Rudyard Kipling, "If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs.." That's what sets you apart. Also, for him to attack Grimes The way he did and be so indifferent about an apology, that completely undermines Grimes' authority with the players, and for 'some' players It creates a certain level of doubt and uncertainty as to how Kelly feels about them as men. Coach Kelly mentioned he was controlling the sideline, how would he like it if Jack Swarbrick stormed down to the sideline and jacked him up after losing certain games, then said "he's just controlling the program." Neither instance is right, but that would be sort of the equivalent. Last point, What Kelly did will have a negative affect on recruiting. Parents look at these 'character implosions' with a sensitive eye because this is the man they are untrusting their son's to continue their growth into strong men. And to see a head coach attack a weaker positioned coach and not acknowledge that there could of been a better way to handle the situation, their thinking how the hell will he treat my boy when cameras aren't around. So, inclosing I've never been a head coach I can't even imagine the pressure Kelly feels week to week. I tip my hat to the job he's done thus far. But I have led packs of high strung alpha males that only understand violence and aggression. What makes someone the alpha dog isn't always how much more aggression and violence you can display over the other dogs, it's sometimes how your able to keep the pack calm and focused on the next 'meal' when the shit is hitting the fan all around. Let's do better Kelly.

Someone posted this on another board, full post?

I don't have face book.

I agree with him

This is Gerome Sapp's post I guess.

Someone want to remind me what Jamoris Slaughter did to deserve what you all are saying about him besides playing hard every game, starting 19 games over basically 3 seasons, and overcoming a serious injury to get drafted into the NFL?

Don't know who wrote that but I agree with every word , too. He wrote very eloquently. The Swarbrick point is spot on.

No one is saying that he can't have his opinion or siding with CBK here. Everyone that has a brain knows it was a bad move and Kelly did in fact apologize in his presser, today. But the thing is that we don't agree that Slaughter posted that and made the University's football coach look worse than he already does. The moment you have the entire alumni bitching about the current football coach, it will not be a good thing. Everyone is taking his comment as in a "hey everyone, follow me and lets have an uprising to get CBK fired".
