Malcontents.
Not everybody is going to jump through hoops to defend Kelly like you guys. What he did was over the top and brought negative attention to what should've been a minor situation. If Urban Meyer or some other coach did that you would be saying how terrible a person they are and that no kid should want to play for them.
BK gave him his chance to even SNIFF being able to get a chance in the NFL.....but of course 2 bitter cronies come to his aid...birds of a feather flock together

These guys can have each other.

The boo birds are opportunistically using it to pile onto a prefabricated narrative about Kelly. It wasn't a great look for him, which is why he expressed regret for the episode during today's press conference; in other words, it wasn't nothing. But it certainly wasn't a big deal either, and those who insist otherwise are revealing their prejudice.

How's that pro career going DD?
If Davaris Daniels is on your side, you're wrong. Thats the benchmark I'd use.
If Davaris Daniels is on your side, then who can be against you?
I don't typically comment in these discussions, even though I enjoy reading everyone's point of views. However, something about Coach Kelly's actions and lack of acknowledgment of any type of wrong doing rubbed me the wrong way. I've been on plenty of sidelines, locker rooms and meeting rooms and I will be the first to say shit get "real" in all of those environments when tempers flare in the heat of action. Especially with the types of high strung personalities of the men in these environments. However, if u are a true leader of men, something I've also had the pleasure of being on both the college and pro level, there is a certain standard you MUST set for the men you lead, especially when in the heat of it all. In the words of Rudyard Kipling, "If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs.." That's what sets you apart. Also, for him to attack Grimes The way he did and be so indifferent about an apology, that completely undermines Grimes' authority with the players, and for 'some' players It creates a certain level of doubt and uncertainty as to how Kelly feels about them as men. Coach Kelly mentioned he was controlling the sideline, how would he like it if Jack Swarbrick stormed down to the sideline and jacked him up after losing certain games, then said "he's just controlling the program." Neither instance is right, but that would be sort of the equivalent. Last point, What Kelly did will have a negative affect on recruiting. Parents look at these 'character implosions' with a sensitive eye because this is the man they are untrusting their son's to continue their growth into strong men. And to see a head coach attack a weaker positioned coach and not acknowledge that there could of been a better way to handle the situation, their thinking how the hell will he treat my boy when cameras aren't around. So, inclosing I've never been a head coach I can't even imagine the pressure Kelly feels week to week. I tip my hat to the job he's done thus far. But I have led packs of high strung alpha males that only understand violence and aggression. What makes someone the alpha dog isn't always how much more aggression and violence you can display over the other dogs, it's sometimes how your able to keep the pack calm and focused on the next 'meal' when the shit is hitting the fan all around. Let's do better Kelly.
Someone posted this on another board, full post?
I don't have face book.
I agree with him
That was Gerome Sapp's statement. My bad.I agree with every word he said, too. He wrote very eloquently. The Swarbrick point is spot on.
Someone want to remind me what Jamoris Slaughter did to deserve what you all are saying about him besides playing hard every game, starting 19 games over basically 3 seasons, and overcoming a serious injury to get drafted into the NFL?
