Side note, John Schnatter apparently wanted to foot the bill for the newest Ball State stadium (he's an alum), but Ball State wasn't going to name their football stadium 'Papa John's Stadium'.

As well, apparently David Letterman (one of our other famous alums) wanted the stadium named after him, but he was out bidded and plans for a new TCOMM building named after him was already in the works.

First, the events were confined to a dorm room and not some crappy Italian restaurant table. Next, they actually paid these women instead of having them try to extort them. I may be wrong, but I think that was more of a running joke by Letterman. I think he wanted to donate and not have it tied to athletics. If memory serves me, he didn't want anything named after him but BSU insisted.
