Josh Hemboldt at rivals said in an article last week that he thinks the April visits will be the deciding factor but as of right now he thinks its ND.

What's the deal with the disparity in his ranking and his lack of offers for a player ranked this highly by some services?

Wilfong really likes him, Helmodlt thinks hes alright

I just think if he was a 5* like 24 7 has him he would be a national recruit. Plays against some of the top competition in the country and he's more of a midwest recruit. I don't know jack about O-line film and projections but his offer list is a little skeptical for a 5 star. Unless some of his offers aren't reported

I dunno, it may be because he doesn't want to be a national recruit? He might just want to stay local, and had already decided a while ago the schools that would make the cut. Honestly, the fact that Harry Hiestand and Ed Warinner have made him a priority, I'm leaning more towards Wiltfong's side of the argument.

Per ISD, visiting this weekend for an overnight. Will probably take one last look at OSU. Decision should follow shortly. Parents seem to be in ND's corner.

Edit: I need to add that it's still considered a toss-up. Mike doesn't like OSU potentially getting that last shot. Christian thinks Kraemer could be the x-factor. They also mentioned that Liam gets ND, but OSU winning the natty is what's keeping them in the race.

Wiltfong has deferred to Loy on Liam recently. Loy thinks that's Liam has already made up his mind and he thinks it's ND.

Love ISD, but Mike can be quite the Chicken Little, so I would take that with a grain of salt.

There's a reason for that.

About a dozen years ago Mike went overboard with Lorenzo Booker coming to ND. Mike was so sure that Booker was in the bank that he said he would paint his butt blue at the Blue & Gold game if Booker didn't sign with ND.

Booker had a school announcement on NSD and supposedly was solid ND (Lemming) until he got a call from a FSU coach while backstage waiting for the announcement to take place. He walked on stage and committed to FSU.

Somebody brought a can of blue paint and a paint brush to the Spring Game tailgate but Mike welched faster than Jimmy the non-Streaker.

Love ISD too (mostly for Coach D) but agree on Mike Frank being Chicken Little. That was one of the reasons I quit ISD a few years back was I was tired of Mike's negativity all the time. He goes overboard at times.

Be honest.....this is some sort of Pavlovian thing right?.....to see who drools when you post it? :)

Hahaha. Nah. Things are good with ND and Eichenberg at this stage and this visit will be huge as he narrows it down. Eichenberg fits in well with the guys in the OL room and obviously is a Midwest kid. Can't get in a much better position if you are Notre Dame recruiting the 2nd best OL in Ohio after already getting the top OL in Ohio.

Funny thing is, while Urban is probably taking this personally, he seems like he really wants to recruit nationally any way. He'll be fine. They can have that Bordeaux kid from FL. :)

Yeah, he can be quite negative at times and it's a major buzz kill. But sometimes I think he does it just to not get everyone's (including his) hopes up. We are Notre Dame fans, after all.

This is spot on imo, and the only negative thing I would ever say about him. It isn't really a negative either. We're all ND fans here, so we know why he is like that lol.
