I think the staff has improved greatly in this area since 2012

3. Jumbotron? Yes. Anyone who's been to a game knows that not being able to see a replay of a close play is the worst feeling ever.

A. Shoot for the moon or limit recruiting to RKGs? Recruit the hell out of the midwest, then open up to select RKGs nationally, lastly shoot for the moon on a few game changers. Having a full roster of hard working kids seems to be ND's best bet. Better player development and coaching will make ND a perennial power. Not a bunch of prima dona kids.
B. Take JUCOs? Not sure many would qualify, so what's the point.
C. Oversigning? By no more than 3. Sort it out in the spring/summer with 5Ys/transfers/medicals
D. What matters most for recruits? (offer list, stars, the tape, or do you just trust the coaches?)? In order: Trust the coaches, offer lists, stars (just because it's fun)
E. Guaranteed 4 year scholarships? Yes, the degree is what's most important.
F. Early signing period? Yes, but I think late summer would be best. Kids who don't want to play out the process can sign early and that allows the staff to focus on others w/o worry about de-commits, poaching, etc.

b. BVG (love him, hate him, or TBD) TBD w/o a doubt. First year in program. Loads of injuries/suspensions. Played a lot of true frosh.
c. Most hated team (USC, Michigan, or other?) Michigan. Can't fuqing stand UM or their fans. FSU, after learning how dirty they are, is a close second.
d. Current playoff system, 6 teams, 8+ teams, or other? I'm fine with 6 or 8. 5 conference champs and either 1 or 3 at-large teams. NOTE: If they switch to 8, I can think ND can stay independent. If it stays at 4, then I think ND needs to join the ACC.
e. Scheduling (toughest possible or other?) Make it more manageable. Sorry, but scheduling the toughest teams is completely moronic. OSU just won the national championship. Do you think anyone cares that they had the weakest schedule out of any of the top 6 teams? No. Get to the playoffs and THEN show what you can do. Don't schedule yourself out of them before they even begin. Just like in BlackJack, don't bust yourself if you don't have to!

g. What program is the biggest threat to ND? (OSU, USC, Alabama, etc.) USC for California kids, plus common opponent. OSU/UM for midwest kids. Schools in SEC country make it hard to land the blue chippers of the south. Biggest threats? I'm going with USC and OSU.

D. What matters most for recruits? (offer list, stars, the tape, or do you just trust the coaches?)? I trust the coaches, they get the real story better than I do, but I can also see things in film that let me know a guy is a good football player and not just an athlete.

The only JUCOs that can get it are usually academically oriented kids that never got a chance out of high school that somehow blossom into high level football players. That's only the case about 1 out of every 10,000.
C. Oversigning?I think if they institute an early signing period this won't be necessary - as it stands right now I think they should offer fringe players a PWO position.
D. What matters most for recruits? (offer list, stars, the tape, or do you just trust the coaches?)?Film first, always. Then comes the offer list, then comes our staff, then comes the star list - way down the line comes the star list.

C. Oversigning?Not like the SEC, but I think the staff could be more aggressive when it comes to 5th year guys. The playoff committee may be against sending more than one Midwest team to the playoff. tOSU certainly has a good chance of making it in each year under Urban. They also have the benefit of a championship game. Finally, while we don't typically pull a ton of kids out of Ohio, we do rely on several Catholic schools for talent and compete with tOSU for talent there. If Michigan hadn't fallen on hard times I would have said them first, but until Harbaugh rights the ship I think they're an afterthought. I still want to maintain the all time winning percentage against them though, first and foremost.
