Whew! Now everyone take one step off the ledge and everything will be fine.

Well this is the same thing that was reported above. Its great news, along with the fact that he said ND is the only one he is sending papers to, but it's still not 100% until he enrolls.

Has anyone signed the EE forms or whatever they are and then not enrolled at that school?

To the NO paper, 3 days ago. Choice quotes:

"I've taken four of my official visits and I'm scheduled to make my final one to Notre Dame in two weeks," Tillery said when asked about his final visits. "I committed to Notre Dame a long time ago and I wanted to take all of my official visits to reconfirm my feelings that I originally had.

"I take the visit to South Bend on December 12, I believe, and shortly after that I'll make things clear with everyone involved as to what my intentions are.

"LSU is telling me they have pretty good depth on the defensive line. They have some offensive tackles leaving so they need some young guys there. That's what I hear mostly from them.

"Notre Dame has a need at both positions and they told me I can play whatever I want. I talk to the offensive line coach mostly so I anticipate that I would be playing on that side of the ball up there.

Prospects generally bring family with them on their visits, but Tillery will be flying solo on this trip.

"My sister graduates from college the same day so I'm going to be making the trip by myself," Tillery said. "Both of my parents have been extremely supportive of what I do.

"They know that I'm the one that has to wake up, go to class, work out, grind it out and do all the hard work necessary to accomplish all of my goals. They just try to support me through it all. They are leaving the decision up to me and will stand behind me regardless of where I go."

So this article brings up something interesting that I didn't put too much into at first. Apparently he's really been liking playing Dline in HS. Per the LSU site they said it was something that LSU was pitching him. It was a few weeks back but I hadn't seen any quotes from Jerry himself. I wonder if that's something we'd consider or if it's legit interest on his part. Anybody have anything else on that?

He's being recruited for either or.. If he can't see the way BK can put any player on either side of the ball, then should we want him? Ya I thought so too.!

But he does say ND will let him play either.

That he did, I'm just not so sure that's true.

With a lot of recruits you really never know what's going on, but from everything I've read, Tillery doesn't strike me as the type to say something hoping it comes true.

Scratch Jerry from the list for next weekend's banquet. It's the same weekend as his sister's college graduation so he is going to that instead per ISD.

Interesting. Did he not know the graduation date when he scheduled? Unless he reschedules, he'll have used 4 OVs and not on to the school he claims to be signing with.

Oh stop it in this thread, all of you. He's coming. He has always been coming.

Also, my inner dshans compels me to inform you that it should be "...the school with which he claims to be signing."

Don't need to remind me, I'm the one who bet a billion vbucks 2 days ago that he comes. But this is one of the most drama filled recruitments I can remember.

And my inner-3rd grade grammar skills compell me to remind you that the period should be outside of the double quote ;).

It's not even a drama-filled recruitment anywhere other than the fan community. The actual KID has been Irish and said he's Irish consistently throughout. He's an LSU fan, but he doesn't want to go to school there. I'm not sure why that's so hard for people.

It's like... if you grew up in Oakland and you were a Raiders fan and they offered you a $1M contract to go play for them, you'd probably still sign with New England if the Patriots offered you $2M.

He says he plans on using his OV the weekend before he was supposed to move in and EE per ISD. Also states no more visits other than that.

You guys can take your grammar/spelling and shove it. The only grammar I care about is Country, and not over using commas. Beyond that, go bananas.
