Even if it comes in he can still back out. A grant-in-aid binds the school to the athlete but not the athlete to the school.

Did the rule change get passed where a student could only sign one of the grants, or can they still sign the paperwork to EE with multiple schools?

Actually it means the staff can have unlimited contact with him now. Even during dead periods.

Nico Fertitta and Tillery have become very good friends and when Nico was asked about Tillery's LSU visits he just laughed and said Tillery is all ND. No concerns here.

Only available to EEs, most do once admitted to the school. Some sign to multiple schools.

I get what you are saying but it's not that easy. It's a step in the right direction and I always felt Jerry was coming to his dream school.

Wow, pleasantly surprised. I get that this doesn't bind him to anything (then again, wtf does anymore; see EV), but nonetheless, I'm glad to see him take this step. Hopefully he actually makes it to campus.
