Why do you guys think he's dumb? I've never gotten that impression. Did you know he was accepted at Stanford?

I understand he has a 3.4 GPA, earned tons of high school honors, is a two sport star athlete who was already drafted once in baseball. He seems humble and driven to succeed and to help his teammates.I like Winston and I'll take him 10/10 times over a prick like Manziel.

I only know what I've seen on TV (the guy is a moron through his words and actions), but I don't take much stock in the whole "GPA" thing. Hero worship is so big, especially in the South, a lot of these guys get A's for breathing.

IMHO communication is the first and most important education. I'd don't buy the whole GPA thing, like IrishSteelhead says, you have no way of knowing how accurate his GPA is or what classes he's taking. There are many generic, uncommunicative players out there..but honestly, when I heard JW, I had to take a double. It was that bad. Go watch his NC interview and see if you disagree. No way does any educated person speak in such a manner. You can be awkward, shy, nervous, whatever...but that is just a new low.

As for comparison to Golson, tis not even close gang. Sure EG says 'um' and 'you know' 600 times per interview but still he makes sense, he says logical and complete sentences. He's nervous and isn't a great tv guy but he sure as heck ain't no dumb nut.

You lose a lot of credibility in a discussion about education when you make that kind of mistake lol

Well, the dude acted the fool again this week. He apparently has about as much maturity, common sense, and ability to learn from his mistakes as my perpetually two-year-old dufus lab. Winston just can't seem to stop stepping on his own d!@k.

Don't insult your dog like that. He doesn't deserve that.

So blurting out stuff is worse than assault and stealing seafood. Way to go FSU. This is the disadvantage that players at ND have to deal with. We get kids that actually show up to class to turn papers in and they are left in limbo. Gets frustrating.

The picture has been around for awhile, but I've never seen it with the "I'm strong, you strong? We strong" comments:

I wouldn't say I "hate" him, I really dislike him. He just appears to be a world class dumb f*ck.

All the shit that has gone down with this kid and he gets suspended for this? I hate him, or really, really fcking dislike him. WHO HOLDS A PRESS CONFERENCE FOR BEING SUSPENDED FOR A HALF??? Who does he think he is? Harvey Dent

Does anybody else just hate this kid?

I don't hate him, but he seems very fake to me. He acts like he is an honest, upstanding person in front of the media, yet many of his actions display the complete opposite characteristics. He has a bit of a con-man personality IMO.

Really hope they beat Clemson easily this weekend. Even without Jameis for the first half. I want them undefeated and just going through the motions when we play them.

Oh, don't worry. They'll beat Clemson handily. As someone I read today wrote, worst case is they struggle early, trail at halftime and Winston comes in to lead them to victory. But they'll win.
As for Famous Jameis, he obviously lacks a degree of self-awareness. I don't think he's a bad person, really. Just naive and entitled and the product of a system that enables him to act that way because he's good at football (did you see the way FSU fans on Twitter jumped all over various reporters who dared try and find out what he actually said?)
I do, though, hope Jaylon Smith and co. shut him down hard.

Caught this kids act in a summer baseball game after high school and before he enrolled at FSU. He's a problem child with all the misgivings of entitlement. I thought he'd self-destruct at some point. I don't think he'll be able to help himself from this pattern. By the way is Jimbo/Dabbo/and Muschamp the same guy coaching three teams at the same time. They remind me of the 3 Stooges.

I always respect what you post, but I disagree. Maybe early on, but he's been visited by the cops more than once and he's heard and read the negative things just like the adoration he gets. He's old enough to know what is wrong and what isn't. To me, he's rationalizing his bad behavior. Given the way the NFL is starting to get exposed, he may have a short shelf life in the NFL. His actions should hurt his draft position, especially if he continues his ways.

IMO, he certainly feels entitled. If he keeps it up, something is finally going to happen where FSU won't be able to bail him out.

As Bowden was famous for saying, "Aw, he's just a goooood kid."

Why couldn't he act like a complete douche nozzle the week before the game against us?

Considering he is a complete douche nozzle I wouldn't rule it out. Plus I want to beat them fair and square. Not saying we will but we have a shot.
