Having read the first couple pages of this thread, I'm distraught I didn't find this place sooner. I could've been having way more fun during our bad years.
You'd feel differently if cleaning up the wreckage was your responsibility.
I'd have made him a mod. Talk about two birds.
You're high. Imagine how epic Pat and Wizard's arguments would be. #freepat
So did Pat resurface? How did he come up?
Koon, on his way to Indy...

That was an entertaining blast from the past.
Let me be the first to say I don't miss Pat. Like, at all. Though I might be biased as a mod.
I'm really tempted. Is anyone else going to scalp? IF I'm going to be drunk I don't want to sit alone. I have a big mouth and will need a body guard.
You're impressed with Longo? Seriously? We get top ten classes, and no real team athleticism to show for it.
Lol, of all of the times to bump this thread, you pick the game where we give up over 500 yards and 36 points to a 2-4 team?

Without addressing the obvious straw man, I bumped the thread because on national television Mayock relayed an absolute refutation of your premise which was given to him by our best WR.
Ok, cool.

So, you obviously missed that whole piece on Longo, did you watch the game? That, or you tuned it out![]()
I don't mean to be snarky, but I honestly couldn't care less what Mike Mayock says about Longo. His take doesn't influence mine at all.
We'll see how fast we are next week.
Again, it wasn't anything Mayock said, it was what Will Fuller said. Since you missed it, Fuller mentioned he wasn't much of a speedster UNTIL he got with Longo. He credits Longo for the speed advantage he has today. It's one thing if a announcer makes a comment on overall speed, it's another when we have living proof of a player's gains and he admits what gave him the edge.
"I'm glad this player gave clear evidence that my premise for this thread is flawed (not to mention Notre Dame's continued ability to outwork opponents late in games), BUT I refuse to admit I may have, at one point, overreacted."
You haven't actually said it was an overreaction. You've alluded to it or suggested it, but until you say the actual words it doesn't mean anything
