Listen, we are ND. Our history was founded on playing an elite national schedule. Our history was founded on being an underdog and growing into a powerhouse. We did not become who we are because we scheduled a winnable schedule (I.E. Fuck Michigan). So, obviously it is a tough schedule, but what recruit would not want to be playing for a team that plays the best competition around the country year round, not just 2 or 3 times a year. Go Irish! I look at this exactly the same as when we scheduled Oklahoma way back when. That 2012 schedule was supposed to be fukin impossible. Well we fukin took that schedule head on and went to the National Championship. Why cant that happen again?

It's not like ND is scheduling these big name schools and playing them all in the same season. The schedule will probably be a lot closer to what we're used to seeing now than everyone thinks.

If USC and Stanford are still strong, and you have a big game against OSU, AND you end up getting a strong FSU on the schedule as well, that's not optimal obviously. But the chances that all of the current "traditional" powers are as stong/stronger 8 years from now is low, I would guess.
