The captain of Costello's SMC team last year is Irish PWO OL Ryan Killander. That can't hurt. Word is he's a Stanford lean though.

The Orange Co area is completely off the charts with QB talent right now... I've compared it to the Chicago Public League for basketball.

BTW.... we should know what kind of DB Nicco Fertitta is pretty quickly as he faces Rosen, Waller and Costello in the first month of the season. Ouch.

He'd probably be one of our top back up offers at this point. Means we miss out on Malik and others first though.

The other day TJ said that he was surprised KJ didn't have an offer yet. Can't give much more than that. Logically I would think the staff waits to offer new prospects for the 2016 class when they get new film from the upcoming season. For ND we might want to see how the Henry/Patterson visit goes.

I personally think we should take KJ now if he's ready to commit. Quit playing the QB shuffle and take a kid with some skill, even if he's not high on our board. It's not a huge need and if the kid wants to be here, then grab him and move those efforts to other position needs.

If QB isn't a huge need, why take 2016 QB 18 months in advance?

I don't see the hurry to offer Costello. Many of the offers he covets he doesn't have yet.
