Reminds me of Marquis Maze from a few years ago. His second level burst is pretty impressive. Don't see him as a first tier WR or a RB but return game and occasional slot would be right up his alley.

He's a 5-star RB IMO.

His overall ranking on the composite is way off because he's categorized as an APB with a .93 rating which makes him the 15th best RB and the 3rd best APB. So technically he'd be #19 on the combined list. He's rated a shade better than Andre Robinson. There are not 18 players I'd rather have in the backfield than this kid. IMO, he's arguably the best.

How can we not get traction with Merritt? He'd be a great addition and ND > Michigan. Why can't we get one of my favorite prospects at any position?

Good pick up for them.

If he was willing to go that far out of state, I would have loved to see us put more pressure on him during the process.

I expect Merritt to be a big name if Oregon keeps winning. His acceleration looks to be among the best in the class.

I couldn't have been more wrong about him. Watch his highlight tape, it's baffling he hasn't done more in college.

So basically it's a blow to Oregon's chances of landing Young. Nice.

You realize that he's still pretty young. He would have going in to his 2nd year...

For sure, I'm not writing him off. I thought he was going to be an immediate impact guy. His acceleration on tape looked to be all-galaxy level but apparently I'm not a talent evaluator. Who would've thought.

so how legit is all this, or how much of it is the tutors found out they were both sleeping with him or something like that?
