Kid is a beast. Crazy with our OL depth he probably wont be able to crack the 2-deep this year.

Not so sure. Kind of reminds me of James Onwualu. Way physically advanced. Found a place to play as a freshmen against the experts opinions.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out!

Bobby Smith=Bob Diaco wannabe.

Haha was thinking the same thing!

Anyone catch the 26 reps at 225 after original video? Impressive but he's going to crack his sternum if he bounces it off his chest that rapidly

Regardless, kid is a monster already and I love the feeling of knowing we have anchors along the line

Forgive me for raising a flag, but doesn't this border on an endorsement of whatever RYPT gym is? I mean currently, Jaylon or Everett can't go walking around saying "eating at Applebees is very important for me..."

Not an endorsement unless he's getting paid or free training

But did you miss the coverage Golson and every other high profile QB got for training with GW? no difference

With the skill set that Q has already to go along with his ridiculous work ethic, he could end up being the greatest OL ever at ND. I can't believe how amazing our depth and star power is on the line going forward. Very optimistic about the running game. Sorry I'm rambling lol.

Do you get the feeling that things (for the running game) are looking up?

I'm a huge fan of these football vines that have been coming out recently.

Funny that with all that great blocking the play resulted in about a one yard gain. I would love to see a vine of the sick blocking on one of ND's big plays.

I'm so excited for this offensive line. I'm seriously close to believing Hiestand is the closest thing to a must-have in South Bend since Brian Kelly and Jack Swarbrick.

I hope we can keep Harry for at least a decade. He's got a great thing going and hopefully we can put a great season together and get pay bumps for all of the coaches, just to further solidify them staying in South Bend.

And Quenton Nelson is a beast.

Kelly was saying something along the line of Quenton being super good in run blocking, while needing a little work on pass protection especially because of his agressive nature as an Offensive lineman. He then said he thought Quenton did a really nice job in pass pro on saturday.

That beef stable is impressive right now at ND, and will remain for many years. Well done Staff.

The Josh Adams 25 yard TD would be one. Untouched through a 5 yard opening.

That Vine was only about Nelson. If Stanley and Martin would have had the same success on that play as Nelson, it would have been 20+ yards and a safety standing in the way of 6.

Lautua did his job on the edge as well.

That's the beauty of football. One missed block or a bad read by the back can ruin three great blocking efforts. Everyone has to work together to succeed.

This type of beating sticks with defenders. So yeah, he only picked up a few yards but the LB will think twice about engaging him again later in the game. He'll slow down a step, forget about his responsibility, take a short cut which leads to a big play, etc.

Definitely some great blocking here. The OL gets to the second level, along with Smythe, to take out the LBs. The receivers take care of their guys on the outside long enough for Adams to get by, just a great team effort there that resulted in a TD. The only guy that Adams really has to avoid is the safety and he does a great job sidestepping him to get in. Freeman nearly gets a lick on him too right at the end, which is impressive hustle after getting taken out of the play early, but by then it was already a busted play for Texas and Adams wasn't going to be denied.

It seems every breakdown I see has Chris Brown owning some DB. Love it.
