I feel like the disappointment that Loy didn't screw something up is taking the air out of the balloon here.

Getting Crawford would be a huge swing in momentum IMO!

Just watched this kid's highlights for the first time, and I was surprised by how much I like this kid's game. Plays hard and fast, with very good speed and football instincts. Would absolutely love to see this kid at ND. Hope we can make a great impression on Sunday.

I have been told that the staff was "fighting" over him for earlier because the offensive coaches liked him at slot. I assume that is no longer an issue now but it's great to hear that the staff is that high on him. They really like him as a return man too

In Loy's update he mentions that Shaun wants to sit with BK and see if there is a fit on offense. Whether he wants to play there or not remains to be seen but both staffs like what he can do, still.

I don't see how it'd make sense for him to be on offense, considering our slot is filled and we're still very in it with the crazy haired kid from CA and the slot WR from TX.

I watched his highlights this morning for the first time since last summer and was surprised by how many offensive highlights there were. He lines up all over the field on both offense (RB, Slot) and defense (OLB, S, Slot CB), and is a significant presence on special teams. I'm not surprised to hear the staff is divided or that he's interested in exploring his options in college. Just get him here and figure it out later.

Could he take Lovette's spot as the APB? I wouldn't be butthurt about that.

OT. So I want to say that I absolutely love Crawford as well as Nico but I have to say this story because everybody out here thought it was hilarious. When Oregon made it to the NCG against Auburn a few years back. I was listening to sports radio and they were interviewing Auburn fans on what they thought of the Ducks team. One gentlemen goes. "I'm not sure what to think, they look like a bunch of rocket powered midgets running around." When I think of adding some of these small but dynamite athletes I chuckle thinking about that line. Sorry for the rant but thought it was funny.

One of Ohio's top prospects will be making a few stops this month as Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward defensive back Shaun Crawford has setup trips to both Notre Dame and Ohio State. The four-star prospect is committed to Michigan but will be taking a look at a pair of Midwest schools that have continued to recruit him through the winter and spring.

Crawford will visit Notre Dame and Ohio State.
"Yes, he's visiting Notre Dame and Ohio State," said Crawford's father in a message to BuckeyeGrove.com. "He's still committed to GoBlue though."

Crawford will visit Notre Dame this weekend and will then head South down I-71 to Columbus for a visit on May 31st. The 31st could turn out to be a big visit day for Ohio State with the Nike Camp and Elite 11 regional camps both taking place in the days following.

Crawford, who grew up a Michigan fan, has been committed to the Wolverines since last August. He is the No. 106 overall player in the nation in the 2015 recruiting class and the No. 11 cornerback prospect. - See more at: https://ohiostate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1641484#sthash.9610PaRP.dpuf

I would like to hear what this means for Hoke and his "policy"

I really think Hoke has to either take a firm stance, or just scrap the policy altogether. You know that all other UM commits are keeping tabs on this situation. Even if they're 100% committed, they're going to want to experience their 5 OVs...will Hoke stop them after he lets Shaun take unofficials to UM's biggest rivals?

I don't know why you'd commit without taking all 5 visits. But Hokes policy is a joke.

I like that Crawford is shoving it in his face, two straight weekends, lol.

If he was really 'shoving it in his face' he wouldn't have scheduled a phone call with Hoke for tonight to reassure him of his commitment and that he is taking visits to be sure. Could he change his mind and flip to ND? Of course. But the way he is going about it does not suggest to me in any sense that he is shoving anything in anyone's face.

I didn't mean it that way. Obviously he wouldn't do that to his potential future coach.

But the fact that it's out there and he knows hokes policy, and hoke will probably get asked about his policy for the next two weekends, I love that.

Michigan is in A LOT of trouble. They are going 9-3 on a very bad schedule at BEST this season.

I read the 9-3 and thought WTF, then saw at best and I thought for sure. Haha. I could see 7-5 easily with Hoke getting fired.
