Interested to see how far he falls. For example they currently have KLS at 65, Josh Sweat at 66, and Byron Cowart at 68. IMO, Cornell shouldn't be a higher rated prospect than any of those guys.

I know Sweat/Cowart are top 10 now. Wasn't really paying attention, but remember those names.

There are quite a few Big Ten teams still in the running for Cornell, including Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Penn State. This recruitment will come down to the wire, so there is still plenty of time to try to impress the No. 16-ranked prospect. While Cornell has already taken visits to quite a few schools, there are still a few he would like to see. Notre Dame might currently be in the lead, but there is a realistic shot that Cornell ends up in the Big Ten.

Your reasoning?

I don't disagree necessarily. Just curious.

Just my opinion. Explosiveness and long term upside. To articulate the whole reasoning may take awhile but I'll say this. Its a big board essentially. Best player available. I like Malik Jefferson, Blake Barnett, Iman Marshall, etc. all more. There are so many players at different positions that are elite. Jashon isn't elite IMO. Also, Jashon's weight isn't a good thing. There are probably 10 DE's that are right there with Jashon so how could he possibly make my top 16.

-I'll add that when I get into the 50 range is when I start seeing a good settling point for Jashon at this current time.

National recruiting analysts Craig Haubert and Tom Luginbill pick the 2015 prospects they think are most likely to make an immediate impact in college and those who best project to the first round of a future NFL draft.

# 8Jashon Cornell Undeclared
DESaint Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham HallESPN 300: 16Previous rank: NR
Analysis: Cornell has turned into a different player as a junior. We initially evaluated him as an edge-rusher who was 230 pounds; he has morphed into a 270-pound defensive tackle/5-technique 'tweener. He has lost a little bit of explosiveness that would allow him to stay on the edge, but he is a disruptive force in his new role as a tackle. His initial quickness off the ball is very good and he is productive on the inside

Sounds good to me.

Yea, I have a problem with the bad weight he has added, but I think if he can lose the bad weight, he's up there.

The problem I have with this is a 270 DT or 5 tech is very very rarely going to be an instant impact on the football field. How many 270 DT's are making impacts in CFB. So, if more weight is needed then that will take time to develop. II a month or so back compared his growth to KLM, which is starting to look more and more accurate. My hope is he drops a few pounds, regains some of his explosiveness and plays SDE in college.

Aww…. Ol' Jakey will have to sit his fork down for a couple minutes to tweet the top 10 on a holiday (I hope he gets OT). Poor guy, he might even miss the Easter Egg Hunt.

This is part of the reason I give very few fu*ks about recruiting these days and feel sorry for the coaches that have to pander to these inflated ego's.

I'm not saying I'm justified in feeling this way but I absolutely loathe seeing some 17 yr old drop a "top 10 coming" tweet, as if my fu*king boxers should subsequently soak in excitement.

I hope the Irish make his top 9, and then top 8 and top7, and new top 10, then revised top 10, then top 5, then top 3.

I know, I'm a hater..

That's not a normal reaction?
