Wait, I thought he had close to a pound, now it was only 1/5 oz. I'm lost. Where did the 1/5 oz number come from.

I'm guessing they looked at Missouri laws but I don't know.

Green-Beckham, 20, and two others were arrested after a traffic stop and taken into custody at the Greene County Jail after officers found about a pound of marijuana in their vehicle.

No way, even by just eyeballing, can you mistake 5.5 grams for 1 pound.

I think it points to the education system in Missouri...converting ounces to pounds can get tricky.

Well, converting Imperial gallons to 'Merican gallons can be tricky. Same with Pounds to Dollars, especially with fluctuations in exchange rates.

Ever had a slice of 16 ounce cake? Yummy in a trifle, especially with booberries.

Feel bad for this kid. Just never got it right or had to get it right from a young age. Had a tough life to boot.

Hope the best for him still.

If Gary Pinkel can drive around drunk and keep his job, surely DGB can parlay this investigation into a 2nd team all SEC selection.

A Missouri fan on the main board said that he was beating on a girl and ran before the cops could get him. If that is the case, he is done.

the quote:

Rumors flying around yesterday were that he was beating on a girl and took off before the cops showed up. If he gets arrested he's likely done at Mizzou.

he'll be kicked out of school and end up at someplace like troy and dominate and still end up a 1st round pick.

And then turn out like Justin Blackmon. Hope he keeps that signing bonus in his mattress.

the quote:

I wouldn't bank on that-- this is the ess eee cee...where a coach really has to decide if he is done with you before he ultimately shows a kid the door.

I'm still hoping it's for weed though so IE can have yet another discussion about legalizing pot and and how pot really isn't that big of a deal.

I changed my mind on pot.

He smokes weed and beats on women

Obviously, marijuana leads to beating on women.

Mizzou might let people skate, or SEC for that matter, but if he was beating a woman I wouldn't expect Pinkle to keep him around. I can tell you fans of Mizzou already want Gary to get moved out. Damn near all my friends graduated from there and think Gary P is on his last straw, even after the good season. Fan support would not be "high" if he let that happen.. IMO

Then these fans are even dumber than anybody previously suspected. It's Missouri. Football.

Pinkle has done an outstanding job in his time there. Not sure who they think will do better than him.

Seriously. Do they think they'll find a better drunk driver looking to move to Columbia?

I wouldn't be so quick to assume DGB will be gone. It's remarkable how quickly Mizzou adopted the SEC mentality of "sports before anything else".

UPDATE: Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham suspended indefinitely - Columbia Missourian

The Kansas City Star reported later Monday that "Green-Beckham is part of an ongoing investigation by Columbia Police, according to Sgt. Joe Bernhard, but has not been arrested."

The only incident from Brookside Townhomes reported to the Columbia police within this time period is a burglary at 2:36 a.m. Sunday.

Missouri sophomore and Brookside resident Chris Connor said he heard shouting from the apartment unit next to his.

Connor's roommate Mike Henke said he saw a white Dodge Charger speed away and a girl hitting it as it drove away.

“After (Green-Beckham) drove away, his teammates were yelling at us to not call the cops,” Connor said. “They were like, 'Dude, come on. Just don’t call the cops.’"

The people outside the apartment did call the police, and police arrived to the scene 15 minutes later, Connor said.

"With the eighth pick in the 2015 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders pick...."

Time for DGB to be held accountable for his actions. Feel sorry for his adoptive parents and everyone else that has poured their heart and soul into this guy. He obviously doesn't appreciate it.

I call BS on it being a burglary. Dude was driving a white dodge charger. If he can afford that at 20 and a D1 football player, he wouldn't need to steal.

The Charger was probably just a "loaner" from a local booster errr I mean dealership.

I agree. He needs to be busted. Kinda glad his parents didn't like our purple faced coach...

Yeah seriously guys. So glad DGB avoided the detrimental environment fostered by BK's sideline antics.

Drunk driving, pot, and potentially beating women ain't no thing. Yelling so much on gameday that your face gets purple? Unacceptable to the human condition.

Seriously, I can't believe his adopted parents would push him away from Notre Dame for those reasons and then make it publicly known. SMH

Kid really could have used the stability of Notre Dame.
