Had SUCKS for the first time earlier this week. Good stuff. Finally made it to Cincy grocery stores.

Currently sipping on some Four Roses after some cheap a$$ green beer earlier.

Stone Go To IPA. It is a session IPA at 4.5%. Great nose of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), citrus (grapefruit) and tangerine. The taste starts on grapefruit and a slight tropical fruit note before it gets completely washed out by grapefruit bitterness. Very bitter. Overall it is a pretty good beer but not worth paying $9 for a 6 pack (the same as their regular IPA which is very good).

For a session, this is an outstanding beer. Great for those days (like today) when you want a beer or two, but need to remain upright. Very pleased here.

Also like the Daytime IPA. Would be interesting to try them one after the other. Both are far more toward the hop forward citrus side than others I've had.

I tried the Jameson Black Barrel on St. Patrick's Day. For obvious reasons, I don't recall very specifically what it was like. But I do remember being impressed that it was smooth and had good flavor, for being even cheaper than regular Jameson, which I'm not crazy about. The BB seemed more like a progression from regular Jameson towards their higher marks, like 12 year. It's worth a try.

Since you mentioned Stone, I'll mention that this weekend I made pork belly rubbed in brown sugar and spices and braised in Levitation Ale. It turned out AMAZING.

I've been trying to make more breakfast cocktails on weekends. Anybody have any good ones that are not as obvious as screwdrivers, mimosas, or bloody Marys?

What about a Ramos Gin Fizz? That is acceptable as a breakfast cocktail.

Mmmm.... nothing like 1/2 a glass of beef bouillon in the morning.

Yup. Protein. Factor in the tryptophan rich tomato juice, the sinus cleansing horseradish, the myriad wonders of Worcestershire Sauce, the heart, lung and brain pumping kick of a bit of hot sauce, and the "whatever" benefit of celery and you gots an unsmoothed smoothie.

Oh ... and then there's the Vodka and all the good things that promotes.

I’m officially frightened of both of you.

Bourbon, preferably high proof. Oh wait, you said a mixed drink. Ok mix in some rye whiskey and BAM, you have your mixed drink.

Trying a beer called Posca Rustica by Brasserie Dupont. Beer Advocate calls it a Scottish Gruit/Ancient Herbed Ale. Anyone heard of this style or had one?

Founder's KBS.

I was blessed with getting a ticket for a couple four packs. Also was able to get into my (packed) watering hole when they tapped their keg yesterday. I wish I could drink it every day.

Went to a bar that had Zombie Dust on tap. Ended up spending the better part of the evening suckling on mother's milk. Wife may be pissed, but who cares, I'll be in AZ visiting the old homestead before she can file for divorce. VACATION BITCHES!

Boulevard Brewing's Bourbon Barrell Quad Ale.

It's amazing. I don't want to stop smelling this beer and it tastes like an old fashioned. It's a limited edition so go out and get it right now.

21st Amendment Sneak Attack Saison. From the description (dry, citrus, floral) it didn't sound like kind of brew, but I enjoyed it. Good for a warm day, if we can actually get a few of those.
