Well that tweet was from a while back. He just had a article up on 247 saying that UK is creeping up to his leaders.
@SWiltfong247: Five-star RB Damien Harris speaks highly about #NotreDame and wants to look more into the #Irish (VIP): Nation's Top RB Damien Harris Speaks Highly Of Notre Dame #ND
It seems like every year, I find a RB that I really want and it doesn't work out: Savon Huggins (dodged a bullet), Keith Marshall, T. Mizzell (although we had a great class ourselves), Elijah Hood.
My RB this year is Damien Harris, let's hope he breaks the cycle!
Sorry for bumping a thread without real news. Are we a legitimate contender here? His highlights are outstanding.
So, to make sure I'm up to speed:
- No RBs last year and we have a 5' 10", 200 lb, 4.34 top ranked RB that wants to visit ND if we show more interest.
- 6 weeks ago he decommits form Michigan
- 2 weeks ago he's wanting to build a rapport with ND because he likes it so much...speaks highly of ND, followed BK at Cincy, likes our helmets, education and tradition
-Alford's visit was canceled due to weather and it has not been rescheduled yet.
- now we aren't even in his top 7 and are fading
Am I missing anything? Are we still looking to get him on campus? Is he one of our main RB targets?
I do expect Bama to make a huge push for him. Don't know if we will land him, but I am sure he is being told he will be the successor to Henry.
Figures. He's Michigan's to lose anyway. Ah well.
I just don't see how we aren't one of the most attractive schools for a top RB this cycle.
ESPN 300 RB Damien Harris says Notre Dame is a school that has been recruiting him a lot stronger lately.
