39 and tums are a life saver for what was once an iron stomach that was willing to take on any spicy food or hot sauce challenge that one would present...... I bought Def Leppard Pyromania on VINYL!!!!!

My first music purchase was Kiss Destroyer.... on 8 track. Man... I am old.

Got you beat (which I don't particularly believe is a good thing):

First music purchase: Alice Cooper's "School's Out" on 8-track.

this was my first purchase as well, also on vinyl. Cause its, too late......too late, too late, too late for love

next purchase was Ratt - Out of the Cellar on cassette (that was back in the day when you bought a cassette/LP and you liked every song on it)

Ok... fess up... if you're 30, you have at least one of these:

- Roller skated backwards with a girl to Boyz 2 Men
- Owned a Kris Kross album
- Wondered, "Who did let the dogs out?"
- Owned a pair of Reebok pumps
- Owned a Hypercolor shirt

31 and definitely on those.

For me, now that I'm in my 30s I couldn't imagine dressing up like Brittney Spears and making out with my life sized Justin Timberlake doll... ....

You pussies. Man up like Dshans, Boggs, OMM and myself. You'll find you enjoy life a lot better.l

Damn straight!

Some of the major events in my 30x2(+a little) life happened when I was in my 30s.

I got married, bought a house, became a father and got divorced in that decade of my life. An action packed 10 years.

Eat, drink and be merry.

Oh, and I remember 78 and 45 RPMs, as well as reel-to-reel, 4 and 8 track tapes. I still prefer vinyl, 33 RPM LPs.

I'm 37 and the one about the soundtrack you had in high school is now on classic rock stations? Yeah, that doesn't just piss me off or anything. I hear that and I'm like Poison? Motley Crue? Really? That's not classic rock! Wait...crap, it's more than 25 years old! Dammit.

Best part about being in that range: We were kids in the absolute BEST era to be one.

-Star Wars, He-Man, GI Joe, Transformers toys, and most importantly: GUNS that looked real!!!!

-Saturday morning cartoons

-Indiana Jones

-Sears catalogs (lingerie section)/ crusty Playboys from 1972 featuring women with power bushes to teach us how to jerk off

- Bears and ND were both dominant

- NES

- We had the "Last of the Mohicans" in terms of strict parents, teachers, and coaches

-We watched film strips all the time in school about inane shit that in no way prepared us for anything relevant

FLIP SIDE:

Worst part about being in that range: We spent our formative/high school years in the absolute WORST era for teenagers.

-The 80's had badass fist-pumping cock rock, we had whiny, EMO bullshit Grunge.

-Girls had no idea how to dress slutty. Flannels/overalls shitty clown makeup abound.

-ND and the Bears took a steaming dump

- TV was garbage

Pretty much. This place reminds me of a simpler time: one when I had hair, and could maintain an erection after drinking whiskey.

I don't have problems with food... But I def don't eat like I used to... I used to get a 12er of Newcastle and a ten pack of chili dogs from wienerschnitzel... Then drown them in crystal hot sauce... Dinner is served.

That was like, fucking crazy, and I did it a lot...

I have mostly given up spicy food which I use to love. My taste buds still enjoy it but a few hours later my stomach fucking hates me for it.

That's easily over 3000 calories. The Newcastle alone is almost a 1000.

I would instantly gain ten pounds. I have to work three times as hard to keep weight off now than I did when I was in college.

^OMG, this. I didn't know that my favorite teams could lose at football through most of my childhood.

Yep, one thing I've been blessed with my whole life is a great metabolism... I'm 6'1" and even when I played ball I've never been over 195... Non playing weight has never been over 185... Just blessed there, old habits like that did kill my cholesterol levels though, that's my thing, high cholesterol.

I can't imagine not eating spicy foods, I'd go into a month long depression... Think the teenage girl who gets dumped in the John Hughes movie ( for all 30 something's )... That'd be me.

Wow. That nailed most things IMO. I remember my 30th birthday, it was one of the worst days of my life. The things i've never accomplished, etc; now I'm 34 and days, weeks and years just blend together. It sucks.

I wrestled into my early 20's, so my entire childhood/early adulthood was spent on a pretty strict diet. It's amazing how quick my mind shut off that switch and said "fuck it" when it comes to food halfway through college. I stared gorging all the time on food and booze, and turned my body into a pile of shit within a year. It only took one summer to get back into shape, so I figured all was fine.

Fast forward a decade:

My metabolism is slowing down, I topped 200 lbs for the first time ever a few months ago, and literally threw up trying to run not too long ago. Hooray midlife crisis!!!!!!!

Great album. I ended up purchasing it on vinyl in the 80's just as cd's were coming out. Sadly, I sold my vinyl collection in one lot to a man that came to one of my wife's yard sales. Gave him everything... down to the concert ticket stubs I had placed inside the plastic covers I had the albums in.

On a side note... my first cd purchase was Aldo Nova. "It's just a fantasy" now.

And a little trivia... what does Aldo Nova have in common with Notre Dame?
