Writing was on the wall. Opens up a spot for someone that wants to be here!

FUCK. Always thought it was weird that staff wasn't visiting him. Couple that with the fact that he stripped twitter of all ND stuff recently, and this is hardly a surprise.

Really, really wanted this guy. Lax, bet's paid.

On its own, not the end of the world. Have to hold Kolin Hill, now.

This. There are enough really good players in this class to be just fine. Just have to hold for the next 2 weeks. The staff has ben working really hard on everyone in the class.

After the commitment of Pete, this is not going to knock me off my cloud. Sorry he couldn't get comfortable with his commitment, hope things work out for him.

Funny, I was just thinking to myself after Mokwuah's commitment, is that RYIII was the only commitment I felt "iffy" about when it came to signing his LOI.

I'm not shocked by this news, but it's still a shotgun blast to the nuts...

Not gonna lie, I actually don't care. With the recruits gained since he first committed, this is a loss that can be overcome quite easily.

1. IM
2. Quick/Nelson
3. Cage
4. Sawyers

Told you so dude. Don't worry, I know you like him, but this isn't a big loss with Hill on board. Kid didn't want to be at ND and if you don't want to be at ND you're not going to work out. Committed to us by default because we were the only "good" school that would have him at the time.

There are still 10(11 counting Tranquill) front seven players committed to this class. We are expecting 1 more DT. That would make 12 possible bodies to play in the front seven. That should be plenty enough.

Wouldn't be upset if he came back to us, but this just means Tranquill plays DOG and one of the other half dozen LBs we have needs to pan out at CAT. It'll be interesting to see if we have anyone else fill the scholarship.

Not sure why everyone is upset about this. Numerous people have said this was a very high possibility this could happen.

Personally, I stop being upset about recruits a long time ago. It's just not worth the concern. This happens all the time... Time will tell if he is a big loss or not, but in this point in time I would say that he is not.

Not gunna lie but he was one of the recruits I was very excited to see. Seemed to be athletic with decent size, which ND has lacked at LB in past years (it seems to me). I agree we have bigger positions to be worried about and I think Tranquill (sp?) will be a Huge playmaker on the defensive side for us so he can hopefully move to LB. I don't know. Mixed feelings about this decommit, but I agree we'll be fine.

Less than half of the post are people who seem upset. I would say this have been received better than just about any decommitment in recent memory
