He was considered a massive UF lean and I assumed a possible non take at the moment for Michigan since TJ said he had academic issues that would prevent Notre Dame for being a major player a la Artavis Scott. Also pretty shocking Michigan went down to Florida and got the #1 player (arguably) this early

Got ya. For some reason I thought he was a UM lean but after reading his thread again it was UF. It is surprising he committed this early, especially to a school so far from home. This one is probably far from over though.

Wow! Great grab for them and stl is right. .. to take a top player who could or will be#1 overall this early in the game from not instate is just insane.

It definitely was reported he liked Michigan a lot going in, probably second to Florida, but I don't think anyone expected a commitment

This commitment means little. He can't sign until February 2015. I'd be willing to bet money he ends up at UF when it's all said and done. I pay little attention to 2015 commits.

Disagree. Campbell is an early 5* player to 247 and ESPN, and arguably the #1 player in 2015 in Florida. He is a complete freak of nature athlete at 6'3, 190 with legitimate sub 4.4 speed.

Top players want to play with other top recruits. This should give Michigan A TON of momentum heading into their 2015 class.

WOW. Even Mich. mods were saying not to expect a commit from anyone this weekend. I still would put my $$ that he stays in Florida though at by '15 signing day.
